I wonder that they are surprised over the name of luchi whereas the origin of 'luchi' is Lahore. After partition migrants brought the culture of Luchi, Halwa and Puri to India. Jokingly, vendors chant on railway stations "mai poori luchi".

Should have also mentioned the history of Company Bagh in Jalandhar. One of the first anti-British protest happened there. Earlier it was the Mughal garden. Many were killed during the days of the freedom struggle. The British made it the venue for the execution of freedom fighters. The 12 Bastis of Jalandhar should also have been discussed. Imran Khan's maternal grandmother's house is also in Jalandhar's Basti Danishmanda. Great personalities also include Yash Chopra (Legendary Director), K.L. Sehgal (Iconic Film Singer), Malkit Singh (Bhangra Pop Fame), Arun Shourie (Legendary Journalist), and Sukhbir ("Ishq Tera Tadpave" Fame). Anyway, Ibn-e-Batuta is such a brilliant segment that as an Indian I feel ashamed looking at the content we Indians are being fed nowadays. You really are bringing people out of ignorance. Jalandhar truly has a history that we haven't even touched the surface of. Thanks a lot for this short and warmhearted overview of the district.
