By the way, this actor, Aldoshin Pavlo, is now a military man, and is in the territory of hostilities. In general, the story of this film is amazing. The visual series very subtly conveys Ukrainian nature, combining it with human drama and the tension of combat operations.

Just watched. It's actually quite decent. For a war film it feels quite unusually...quiet. One might expect nationalistic rhetoric and demonization, though there actually isn't much of those here. The music and the many (breath-taking) shots of natural scenery bring an interesting, peaceful contrast to the few hot battle scenes. The protagonist's hippie beginning seems tied to this overarching theme of tranquillity. Before this film, I didn't even know that hippie is a thing in Ukraine.
An Excellent film about the true nature, training, and character of the sniper. That is why it is so quiet. The sniper works in long periods of silence.
