Baking for Kids with Chef Aldo | Ep 3 Baking Banana Bread

  • In this episode of Kids Cooking Food Series, Aldo will bake banana
    bread / cake. The recipe is easy to make and using only few
    ingredients. We don't need a mixer just mix everything together with
    a spatula or wooden spoon.
    The ingredients are:
    3 medium-sized ripe bananas
    2 cups of self-raising flour
    1 cup of caster sugar (can be substituted with brown sugar)
    3 Eggs
    125 gram or 4.4 oz of melted butter
    1 cup of Sour cream
    1 cup = 250 ml / 8.45 oz
    How to bake:
    1. Preheat oven to 180°C or 360°F
    1. Put all dry ingredients (flour and sugar) together in a big mixing
    bowl and mix it
    2. Peel and mash the bananas
    3. Crack the eggs and lightly whisk it with a fork
    4. Melt the butter
    5. Now mix the mashed bananas, eggs, butter, and sour cream and mix
    them together. This is called the wet mixture.
    6. Transfer the wet mixture to dry mixture and mix them together.
    7. Spread some butter into the baking tin (use the loaf baking tin)
    8. Pour the mixture into the baking tin and bake for an hour
    9. You can put a horizontally sliced banana on top for garnish after 30
    mins of baking.
    10. After an hour, you can try and poke with a stick to see if the
    inside of the bread come out dry or wet, you need to bake more if it's
    still wet.
    11. When it's ready, let it cool down before serving.
