    Got these last year based on your review! Very comfortable and I ride them with K2 Maysis. Had a small pressure point at the instep cause by Conda “Chip” which I modified by cutting out a bit of material around the 2 holes in the front (the plastic folds around the front of your ankle in a way that makes a sharp point... ). Going to continue playing with the pods underfoot.
    One thing I wish K2 did a better job with, is explaining how to adjust the forward lean on these. I didn’t understand at first that you have to move it on left and right side by the same amount to get the next lean angle.

    Could you do a segment about different “quick “ entry bindings? And your thoughts about the efficiency?

    Great review. Have you tried the Line up?

    I’m keen on these Lien AT to improve my snow-surf riding style, I have read some bad reviews on the K2’s website though. They say the forward lean system doesn’t hold very well the desired setting as it rips through the teeth when you put some true force on a heel side carve. And also, the highback rotation doesn’t let you set it parallel to the edge if you run posi-posi angles (back foot in particular won’t go past 0°) . What’s your experience about this? In some of my boards I run something like +12° on the back foot and not having highback rotation to follow up on that, could be a problem

    Hello Kevin
    Did you had a change to try Nitro Team Pro bindings ?
    As Im thinking about buying them or Arbor Cypres . How do they compare to these K2 liens ?
    Thank you

    Would these pair well with the mega merc? Also the off set disc should centre boot for 11us Burtons and be able to ajust stance width?

      I'd say they're too soft for it. Depends on how you're using it but should work.

    Now drive or Lien At for an orca? Im leaning toward the now drive cause i like stiff responsive binding.

    i love the union strata enough that i own 3 pairs... so damp and they just really work for me, but i love all of my K2 boars and these bindings look dope. these seem like Flux only they actually have some eva in the footbed. have you ridden the strata also? if so, compare them to the lien & strata for a white dude? (pretty please)

      So the biggest difference is the pods on the base of the K2, it creates three distinct points of flex and contact with the board. While the Strata has a more uniform contact with the board due to that giant pad on the bottom. The biggest difference is going to be in the lateral flex of the bindings with the K2 being more customizable due to that heel block and pods that you can swap out or remove.

      @@AngrySnowboarder i've also heard a bunch that the indy is rad. i need another set of bindings like i need to get kicked in the face, but i'm curious about K2's and i like how the ankle strap placement is a little higher up. To me k2 bindings seem just like a pair of Flux bindings that actually have some EVA in the footbed... i like the TM (john jackson) and the DS i had, but they had almost no shock absorption.

    What are these other companies doing similar things to this free floating binding feel?

    Hey dude how do these compare to the 2020 Cartels in stiffness? Thanks man.

    • @AngrySnowboarder
      @AngrySnowboarder  4 года назад +1

      They're pretty similar when you have the heel block in, it's when you pull the heel block and start tweaking the pods that it changes.

      @@AngrySnowboarder Would you recommend these or the K2 Formula's for a a 200lb guy riding a Gnu finest with K2 Maysis boots? Thanks Kevin.

    is the 2019 Lien AT identical to the 2020 model? And if the ratchet system was improved since 2018 how come the Lien placed #1 in your top 5 all mountain bindings of 2018 but didn't make the list in 2019 despite improving?

    • @AngrySnowboarder
      @AngrySnowboarder  4 года назад

      Should be the same as the 19 and someone else did the binding list.

      @@AngrySnowboarder For the sake of clarity, did they do the 2018 or 2019 list? I imagine since you own and like using the Lien AT so much they did the 2019 list right?

    Ok so I've been watching your binding reviews and I'm still no closer to deciding what binding I should buy.
    For context:
    I've snowboarded about 15 times in the past with rental gear. I bought my first board, a 2019 YES Greats as a quiver of one (hopefully it wasn't a bad choice). I now need to get boots and bindings. In your boots videos I learned that I just have to go try on boots and get something that fits properly. As far as bindings are concerned I want something that works well with my board and is good overall. Comfort / shock absorption is important since I'm 33 and not very athletic. Size 8 - 8.5 on sports shoes. I'm 5'8, 190 pounds. I might lose up to 20 pounds in the future. Durability is also important for me since it's the only pair of bindings I plan on owning. If a good value for money option exists that doesn't sacrifice quality and performance I'm interested in it but I don't mind paying a bit more if there is a big difference in those areas. Also It tends to get icy in the area that I snowboard. Looking forward to your response Kevin, I don't want to mention which bindings I'm considering so I don't affect your suggestion. Thanks for the great content and for interacting with your viewers in the comments!
