  • Yoann Lemoine AKA Woodkid and his studio "The Sharks and the Crows".
Answering your questions, Lemoine himself tweeted, long time ago, that a friend of his uploaded the song on his website (don't remember which one). I took it from there and made this video for your own joy and pleasure.

This song in my opinion is one of his most emotional, for it has nothing to do with lovers, but the simple love shared between two friends, the most natural kind.

A story played out in my head of 2 friends who grew up and at 1 point they go off on their own and have families and one day they run into each other and they pick up where they left off......friends forever

DeAngelo Ellis for me its the story of them growing up and in the last part "I miss you" it cuts to the protagonist already old putting some childhood item the two loved in his friends tomb

By just. Absorbing the vibe of the song it feels like. Loneliness. Sadness. For the past. Its gone now. The best times. Times you never wanted to end. Only now a distant memory that you miss dearly. I feel it like it were my own feelings and memory. But what is it? What do i miss? How did i become so alone? I want it to come back. But i know things will never be the same again. For something prevents me from going back to the time i never wanted to lose. I lack the clarity and resolve to let my feelings rest. It depresses me. I miss, something so badly.

We took the train on Sundays
    We climbed the highest mountains
It's like we've seen every part of the planet.
I said I'd bring you everywhere
Seems like I kept my promise
That's what you deserve, my friend.
We drew our names in the snow
    Crossed oceans on a sailboat
    We were two kids that
    never wanted to grow old.
We've played the most dangerous games
    Enjoyed books of Henry Chance
Exchanged the blood from our veins.
We had been on our knees
    We've drunk the strongest whiskeys
We've lived much more than we expected to live
Sure, things could have been better
My friends have started to whisper,
and you have wives and children.
We were friends on the revert
    We celebrate life together
Something tells me that we won't live forever
We've seen the stars and the smoke,
and the sharks and the crows
that's why I miss you, you know?

I can't begin to thank you for posting this, I had no idea Woodkid made a studio version! When I listened to this today, the lyrics were too beautiful; I had to keep myself from crying, and very few songs do this. You may only have 54 views on this video, but if you add more tags, more people will watch it. I'd really appreciate it if you uploaded more studio works of his you find :]
