Do agree about the Preds needing more padding in the heel. It seems like they have made a lot of upgrades, but will it be enough considering there are a lot of smaller, more boutique brands making leather boots coming into the space. Not to mention that next year is the 40th anniversary of the Morelia, so we'll surely see some stuff from Mizuno.
morelia neo's soleplate is borderline flimsy imo. It's not a dealbreaker but quite thin and not as propulsive (?) vs other brands. also my neo 4 MIJ is separating at the front in less than 5 months
Actually sounds pretty decent! Modern and streamlined, wide foot friendly, and with a more pillowy touch definitely sounds good to me and worth trying out...with a better colorway lol
The boot I've been looking forward to the most all year. I think I'm sold. I'm tired of barefoot feeling boots and was looking for something extremely comfortable (which I haven't found yet) and pillowy when you strike the ball (like the Tiempo 9). Personally i found the leather on the Copa 2 to be softer than on the Morelia 4 JPN. How did you find the soleplate for AG? So glad there's a new one. The pure 2 was unusable for AG, even the 4g version. They got rid of the quilted sides, is there still enough padding there? The tech specs also highlights the otholite sockliner as a selling point. How did you find it? Will you be making any reviews of Diadora boots on your channel? I can't find any. Thanks in advance ❤
@musta2211 honestly don't get the hype myself. I've even tried the Morelia 2 JPN, and even though that is slightly softer than the Morelia 4, the Copas, to me at least we're softer still. There's no stitching that gets in the way
@danviv64 I'm probably older so more sensitive to these things. I have a lot of issues with my legs, so felt it in my knees as soon as I started making changes of direction.
Feel these should've gone further towards a rebula type boots i think that might have won over more mizuno buyers. These still look a good upgrade and fill the space left by the tiempo more than enough. The whole copa line up with the gloro 2, icon 2, mundial and pure 3 seem to offer a great variety.
Only little bummer is that mid foot isn’t leather but it’s something I can live with it given I’ve worn stuffs like the 2011 f50 adizeros and Mizuno morelia neo 2s prior
Really frustrating that a massive company like adidas can't do a proper AG soleplate. It's not hard. All conical shorter studs. They've done it in the past.
They're definitely not the worst, but personally I'd be a bit careful using them on AG - like I was in the video where I didn't go flat out and make super hard turns, because the studs ARE a bit long. They'll be OK-ish for good 4G pitches, but if they're worn down or older gens, I would get an AG plate with more and smaller studs. /Jay
Hi, I was just wondering what are some boots that have a thin upper and offer that barefoot feel. I’m a keeper and this massively helps me when taking goal kicks. Any advice on some boots I should be looking at?
Could you provide a size comparison for Adidas shoes? I’m having a hard time with the sizing. I have F50 Messi and Copa Elite, and they fit perfectly, but the Predator and F50 Elite are too small.
Seeing the plate it looks quite AG friendly, will they be releasing a separate ag version that's the same as the f50 and pred ag, or will this be fg/ag?
These look nice but the sizing still turns me off. I have high arches and wide feet so I’m using all the real estate in a football boot. Going down half a size because of poor sizing has always resulted in the boot being too tight in other places.
I have a few pairs and really enjoy the upper on the Yatagarashu. I'm not sold on the tooling though, so if they can update that to a more modern, slightly more stable outsole, I'll have a lot of good things to say about it. /Jay
Yep, I have a pair and have worn them a lot. Lovely(!) upper but the lack of a slightly more balanced and modern outsole kills it a bit for me. If they update that, we're talking business! /Jay
Hey Jay is it a full u-throat tongue detached from the upper or is it something more like the F50 tongue? Can’t fully see on the video or on Adidas’s website yet.
It's more like the F50, but since the stretch of the knit is so good, it's not as restrictive as the CompressionFit tongue in the F50 - to me at least. A classic u-throat with a floating tongue would IMO have been preferable, but I'm good with this as the next best thing compared to what was on the Copa Pure II Elite KT for instance. /Jay
Ever so slightly longer to me. I'm TTS in F50 and could go half a size down in these to get an OK - albeit pretty snug - fit. I wouldn't do that in F50. /Jay
We can do that. Just go and order it here and we'll send it right away ;) www.unisportstore.com/football-boots/adidas-copa-elite-fg-luxe-control-teaser-footwear-whitematte-goldcore-black-limited-edition/376879/
Because all natural grass pitches are closed (and extremely soft and muddy) in Denmark where we're based - so it's either shooting the review on AG or not shooting it at all, in which case people would probably complain as well. Can't win I guess. /Jay
Oh I disagree on that - for me this heel is way, way better - both from a fit and comfort perspective, but also when we're talking lockdown and performance. /Jay
Hah, that's not a bad comparison actually. There's less leather though, but I'd argue that the forefoot on this is softer than what you got on the Legend 9s. It's a fraction less padded, but yeah, it's in the same ball park. /Jay
So what boots are best for me I mostly play CAM and ST and I like to ALWAYS have the ball Im good at both positions and likes to score a lot (pls don't kill me with cyberbullying idk I always have that feeling when I'm posting something on the internet?)

OG leather boots are always an instant W
i seems like the copa can take the leather crown(if the mizunos didnt exist)
Yep, Mizuno is a problem for the Copa haha /Jay
Not like there’s a lot of competition
morelia neo's soleplate is borderline flimsy imo. It's not a dealbreaker but quite thin and not as propulsive (?) vs other brands. also my neo 4 MIJ is separating at the front in less than 5 months
did u use it on AG?
Copa leather is as hard as artifical leather,
If not mentioned Mizuno- Athleta is the best
Circular studs for the win. Gotta take care of our knees and ankles if we wanna enjoy football long term!
boomer
@@MandeepSZN Not a boomer but someone who's looking out. I tore my LCL playing with Vapors on a turf
Every boot should have conical studs
Actually sounds pretty decent! Modern and streamlined, wide foot friendly, and with a more pillowy touch definitely sounds good to me and worth trying out...with a better colorway lol
It'll come! /Jay
Wow adidas has finally changed the stud pattern after a decade 🤯
What I love about the Copa is that they're so classy. Hi Jay!
You can get a grip insole cover, it’s a grippy foam sheet that sticks to the insole, you just trim off the edges and you’re good to go
Ah nice, I'll need to look into that. Will definitely come in handy for more than just this boot. Good shout! /Jay
@ for sure! The brand is 101 Percent Athletics
I didn't get a pair of Copa Pure's because there was no heel lock. I'm happy they resolved this.
good vid I'm looking to buy Copas so these are informative videos thanks!
edit: turns out I'll buy the Copa pure 3 cuz it supports wide feet
Can’t wait to see the LL version!

I’m glad someone else agrees on the fact that Copa Pure 2’s leather is way softer than the Morelia 4 Japan’s!!!
Which is surprising in a way
@musta2211 honestly don't get the hype myself. I've even tried the Morelia 2 JPN, and even though that is slightly softer than the Morelia 4, the Copas, to me at least we're softer still. There's no stitching that gets in the way
@ exactly my thoughts. The stitching on Mizunos is what in my opinion can’t compete with the plushiness of the Copas and the Tiempo 9s
I haven't had any issues with the Copa Pure 2 Elite AG but could just be me.
@danviv64 I'm probably older so more sensitive to these things. I have a lot of issues with my legs, so felt it in my knees as soon as I started making changes of direction.
Hi Jay, what are you wearing on top? It looks very good for cold weather outdoor training
Definitely need to get me these asap

Thank u to give us the possibility to try to buy the mercurial regen. Impossible to select the size after 1 second
Just bought Pure 2's and now found out that 3's also exist
It's fine as long as you got them on a good discount
@@giorgio5789 got em for 25 bucks
I like your vids bro continue ❤

Wish they had the 19.1 forefoot pattern
Its funny how the Copa FG studs are very similar to the "new" AG soleplate, they need to improve the AG area
Yeah, we definitely could do with a better, more PUMA MG and Mizuno AG-like outsole from adidas to make it a bit more mellow for all AG pitches. /Jay
Really frustrating that a massive company like adidas can't do a proper AG soleplate. It's not hard. All conical shorter studs. They've done it in the past.
Nice! Will these new copas be available with the 2G/3G outsole?
They look super nice! 😮
The Sole plate seems like it could do well on a AG pitch , is that the case ??

Looks like the best update since the Adipure III
The pure iii was meh, the I and IV were the best in the line. 2 had the best insole but that burrito tongue was hit or miss too lol
Bring back the Copa 18.1.
When is the main release?
Early 2025. /Jay
@ excited🔥
A review to the pure 2?
Yo the stud pattern literally looks like the Phantom Gx AG plate
Anyone else think the studs are just so big for FG
So, no more plus or laceless models? Or is that releasing later?
Weight difference compared to Copa Pure 2 and Tiempo Elite?
Giving Copa 17.1 vibes
Can you guys try Adler football boots

How's the outsole for ag?
Can you guys review adidas predator league club socks (without tongue),if you already have can you send me the link of that vid?

❤️🔥
Hey Adidas, if the Predator and the Copa have the same silo....can we get a Predcopax?!?!
Is it good for regular foot shape?
Yep, it'll be really accommodating for most foot shapes. /Jay
Unisports fan are u here
can y make a video with shoes having a wide mid foot and forefoot
Too bad it is only a leather forefoot again, but finally a new solplate
*They copied the elastic tongue idea from the tiempo*
If this colors was on a predator uuuuu😛
What if crazyfast looks like in 2025?
The adidas copa adipure 3 😂
Worse than 442??? That bad???
Comfort yes. Durability no! Me and 2 of my friends wear copa pure 2.1 after wear 3-4 game. It start tear off😅 funny is it?
Send me. A pair jay

@ Good review as always Jay, hope they refine it so we have more options for quality leather boots!

Why u wear FG on AG for review??come on 🤦🏻♂️

@unisport owh okay.review AG boots instead😁 🤙🏻

The heel from the copa pure 2 would have made this perfect, it looks better, more durable and way less stitching.
Oh I disagree on that - for me this heel is way, way better - both from a fit and comfort perspective, but also when we're talking lockdown and performance. /Jay
So its basically a Legend 9 vis calf skin....:D
Was thinking this exact same thing to be honest
