The NYPD doesn't give a sh.t about disabled people. They would ticket a disabled person for getting in the way of their illegal parking.
But the DOJ sadly warn but do nothing. They will never do anything because DOJ only screw with poor people.

Making NYPD follow the law is like forcing a toddler to take their medicine.
Truths! 🤣 👼🍼👮💊

I find it easier to get toddler's to take medicine, but that is because you can tempt them with a reward of some kind, where you have to make threats of legal action against NYPD and then they will just turn that into a threat against officer safety.
NY needs a "Stop a Douchebag" movement!
wouldn't leave many left
Thankfully we’re one of the few cities in the country to get rid of qualified immunity. That would never happen in a “back the blue” conservative republican area
Yes yes yes. The people that double park in busy traffic lanes rather than pulling over a dozen yards farther up the street is disgusting. I really can’t understand why NYers put up with it. We definitely need a Stop A Douchebag movement.

Make a DOJ order. If NYPD does not comply within 2 days, action will be taken. Bounty out to every two truck in NYC to tow every vehicle parked on a sidewalk, be they private citizens, personal police vehicles, unmarked police vehicles or marked units.
Towing companies won't do anything to annoy their racketeering partners. One of the most common forms of LE corruption involves working with wrecker drivers.

Police ticket people for jaywalking, but the courts are allowing them to opening disobey the law.
The courts are openly disobeying the law/constitution. The courts AND law enforcement are lawless. Just read our 4th, 5th, and 14th amendments then lookup civil asset forfeiture.
Greetings from NYC. I don't know one person who has ever been stopped or ticketed for jaywalking. Nice try Alice.
@thomasryan2679 So because you don't personally know anyone that has been ticketed for jaywalking means it does not happen. Have you met someone from every country in the world?
Private vehicles would get a ticket and towed within minuets of discovery. The only difference between a good cop and a bad cop is qualified immunity.

The Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment would certainly apply here. The police do not get special protection over the average citizen in terms of parking privileges.
It's crazy that it seems like nobody understands that an officer is a civilian servicing the public. Their salaries, equipment, and resources are funded by the tax payers. Literally anyone can give "lawful commands" and issue citations. The only difference is cops are "vetted" then "trained/authorized/certified/licensed" to use and access the modifications on squad cars (lights/sirens), uniforms/badges, dispatch/databases all paid for by the people that they power/ego trip on and and use it against us. Accusations of "disorderly, unlawful, noncompliant, obstruction" while they simultaneously speed, impede, harras, threaten, brandish, assault, and murder, etc. under color of law.
They take lives with little or no consequence. Does anyone seriously think they care about the law governing lawful parking?
Solid point.
but we are the police... Had a patrol commander back in the 90s. You illegally park, not on a call and bule lights not activated, 2 days off w/o pay. next time you were fired.. as it should be. Same for traffic violations...

That patrol commander wouldn't make it in today's world. Cops are quitting left and right and they aren't being replaced. Firing someone over something so petty is plain stupid, as is anyone advocating it.

As a New Yorker, I can concur. It seems like a weird effect of one of the most densely populated cities in the world having the most highly funded police departments in the world, comparable to the military of a small nation.
Thankfully, we in NYC also got qualified immunity abolished
Bloomberg hailed them his "personal army"
He applied that moniker to the NYPD many times.
I'ma paraplegic vet.. these fkrs do it here.. i have a video on em blocking the darn sidewalk.. i had to go home because my chair woulda died before i got around the fools...
Great Video and thanks for showing the tyranny that the NYPD think they have a right to block a PUBLIC SIDEWALK- not a parking area. I am a disabled person and it infuriates me to see when these police think it is ok for them to park illegally and force others to walk or use wheel chairs dangerously in the street.
The sidewalks aren't designed for road traffic so in the long run it will cost a taxpayer more to have it repaired
Your right. It's against the law to operate a Bicycle on the sidewalk.Yet you could park your automobile on it.
Please note. That is a FIRE STATION with vehicles blocking the bay where the trucks come out!
One of the things that leads to they behavior is, to me, really ironic. Many people who say that government is out of control are the very ones that think it is fine for the police to get away things like this. It is like they don't realize that the police are government. They want government accountability, but then get upset when that accountability happens. As stupid as the average american is, it am continually shocked that so many manage to make it out of their house with their shoes on the proper foot.
That's just proof that there are too many cops.
Give em one car, 6 bikes and shoe leather.
And no pewpews.
What happened to beat cops ? The inner city is the same for the last 125 years ! Cops Walked a beat knew business owners, talked to residents, knew the trouble spots ! The old cops didn’t even have a radio or cell phone ; they had a call box ! That was community policeing ! Now they never get out of the car unless they are harassing someone ! They seperated themselves from the public ,not the public seperating themselve from them !With the traffic in NY walking would be faster !
The fact that they have too many cars parked there at one time to begin with means they probably have too many cops employed.
the NYPD is massively over staffed.
Cops also refused to let people record in the stations. Even though there is constitution, state law and city law. But they refused to follow law until someone filed a lawsuit
Wow, just wow! How did we lose control of our public servants? Whose left to uphold the actual law?😢
Feds just put NYPD on notice for these actions.
Just what we need our federal tax dollars to be wasted on.

Too late for you.

Imagine if any other business started having their patrons or workers park on the sidewalk obstructing users! The city would be all over it!
No, they just set up tables on the sidewalk. It’s a public space, but because of the pandemic it was encouraged to have people outside. Now you just want to walk down the street and have to dodge tables full of people and waiters with trays full of food. Oh, and they expect privacy while they eat also. What the hell 🤷♂️🤦♂️
@@markabbott2281 that's to enhance public use and it doesn't block the sidewalk!
It is imperative that the United States Department of Justice (DOJ) grant authorization to towing companies for the removal of illegally parked government vehicles in New York City and across the nation. The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) supersedes any attempts at illegal parking by law enforcement and other government employees. ❤
As a part time caregiver for a woman that had a bad stroke wheeling her around on blocked sidewalks is most physically taxing to the point of real injury. Seriously wtf ? The sidewalks are kinda uneven and difficult under the best of circumstances. Have a heart folks.....
A screw driver to the cars paint might discourage the owner of the vehicle from parking there again
CIties do things like fine people thousands of dollars per day for code violations and force the citizens to prove it has been resolved before stopping the fine accrual.
Not to mention citizens would get towed or booted.
If the same happened to them consistently, this would immediately stop.
Just goes to show, over and over again the primary issue with cops, and all gov frankly, is the complete and total lack of accountability.
It should be considered THEFT! Everyone else that drives to work downtown must pay to park and at high prices? Why do cops driving personal vehicles get to park illegally and avoid having to pay to park?
Now the cop is definitely breaking the law yet he tries to flip it on the man standing with a bike. They’re the largest lawbreakers ever, yet want to make everyone else criminals.
Overall parking is shot in NYC via Citi-bank bicycle racks, also 'streetside' alfresco dining via beer flu.
Trades people, electricians, plumbers and HVAC etc. cannot park anywhere, Citi-bank bike racks stolen from commercial parking spots. Metered parking stolen by alfresco dining.

I don't know if it's part of their Police Academy Training; but something is very wrong !
It is my personal observation; most police officers are under a false illusion; they actually really think, once they put on a badge, they think the whole world bows down to them.
No !!! A police officer has no power or authority over you, till you commit a crime.
Special note to ALL Police Officers;
Until somebody commits a crime, that Badge you're wearing; is just a worthless piece of metal !
It's been my personal observation; police officers cause more harm than good, and they hide behind a badge.
I have personally noticed, through personal observation; police officers are worse criminals than criminals themselves.
The Public no longer trusts nor respects police officers. But it's because of how police officers behave and how they treat The Public.

I believe that various NYC police union contracts state that the City will provide parking for the cops who drive to work. The City gave away the streets around precincts for the exclusive use of police personnel. When that proved insufficient, the police started parking like you see here. It's not just the police at fault here. It's also their employer- NYC! Even brand-new precinct construction does not provide adequate onsite parking.

The NYPD needs to take off CPR from their vehicles. There’s No Courtesy, Professionalism or Respect.
Being disabled and having lived in NYC this is exactly what they do along with other violations of their oath. We are all to blame for allowing them in every part of our nation to get away with their personal freedoms/rights to abuse their bosses. All you have to do is try to stand up to one of them and see how many people around you have your back. We are living in an ignorant and sheepish society........

What's the solution
Stop parking like a wanker.
1. Abolish qualified immunity.
2. All lawsuits paid out of police pension funds and/or police insurance.
3. Don't break the law or violate the constitution they swore an oath to uphold and protect.
None. Just take it and shutup. Those who ask for "rights" are unbeknownst asking for their own enslavement.
@@TheBattousaiMedia These solutions are just a start. Many more additional laws need to be enacted.

"You're free to leave" hahahaha
Too many cops everywhere ,,, and they want more !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Why wouldn’t parking enforcement just write them a ticket every single day?
This is the reason why there should be no parking to anyone within five blocks of a precinct except for NYPD employees.
So, can the DOJ please send this out to ALL police departments???
They can park anywhere they feel like, driving recklessly and have given shields and PBA cards to their families to avoid tickets, they don't want to pay congestion price tolls and whenever challenged they abuse their power towards the tax payers who keep them employed. Respect is earned NYPD, not just given.

Thanks Battousai for bring this up! 👏👏👏
This isn't all they need to crack down on the NYPD on
Perhaps if NYPD is forced to commute on buses and subways to work there would be less crime also more parking availability it's a win win !
This BS should not force folk's who actually live there too enjoy parking in there neighborhood.
It's the old story: who is policing the police? Slowly but with a certainty of a speeding train, the public is losing all respect for police, border to border, and coast to coast. Forget parking, they are virtually immune from all except the most egregious motor vehicle violations. Even if stopped for DWI / DUI, the cop who stops them usually just drives them home. Even with body cams, and dash cams, they know that the higher-ups will back them up.
In general, the government, and all employees, are not your friends, they are not here to help you. They are here to be sure that their jobs are secure with minimal work and maximum corruption. The blue wall is more impenetrable than the Berlin Wall was.
