The only difference is cops are "vetted" then "trained/authorized/certified/licensed" to use and access the modifications on squad cars (lights/sirens), uniforms/badges, dispatch/databases all paid for by the people that they power/ego trip on and and use it against us. One of the things that leads to they behavior is, to me, really ironic. Many people who say that government is out of control are the very ones that think it is fine for the police to get away things like this. It is like they don't realize that the police are government. They want government accountability, but then get upset when that accountability happens. As stupid as the average american is, it am continually shocked that so many manage to make it out of their house with their shoes on the proper foot.

The old cops didn’t even have a radio or cell phone ; they had a call box ! That was community policeing ! Now they never get out of the car unless they are harassing someone ! I don't know if it's part of their Police Academy Training; but something is very wrong !
    It is my personal observation; most police officers are under a false illusion; they actually really think, once they put on a badge, they think the whole world bows down to them.
    No !!! A police officer has no power or authority over you, till you commit a crime.
    Special note to ALL Police Officers;
    Until somebody commits a crime, that Badge you're wearing; is just a worthless piece of metal !
    It's been my personal observation; police officers cause more harm than good, and they hide behind a badge.
    I have personally noticed, through personal observation; police officers are worse criminals than criminals themselves.
    The Public no longer trusts nor respects police officers. But it's because of how police officers behave and how they treat The Public.
    Yes, DEFUND THE POLICE across America !
    Yes, cut off 3/4 of The Police Department's Budget across America !
    We have way too many police officers on payroll !
    Yes, DEFUND THE POLICE !
    For sure; shut down The Whole Police Traffic Division completely across America ! Traffic Stops are NOT crimes. You don't go to jail or prison for Traffic Stops.
    All Traffic Stops are a VIOLATION of The Constitution !

    I believe that various NYC police union contracts state that the City will provide parking for the cops who drive to work. The City gave away the streets around precincts for the exclusive use of police personnel. When that proved insufficient, the police started parking like you see here. It's not just the police at fault here. It's also their employer- NYC! Even brand-new precinct construction does not provide adequate onsite parking.

    It's the old story: who is policing the police? Slowly but with a certainty of a speeding train, the public is losing all respect for police, border to border, and coast to coast. Forget parking, they are virtually immune from all except the most egregious motor vehicle violations. Even if stopped for DWI / DUI, the cop who stops them usually just drives them home. Even with body cams, and dash cams, they know that the higher-ups will back them up.
    In general, the government, and all employees, are not your friends, they are not here to help you. They are here to be sure that their jobs are secure with minimal work and maximum corruption. The blue wall is more impenetrable than the Berlin Wall was.
