Brooke, I'm so happy that you all got to go camping for Braydens birthday 🎂 it wonderful that the older boys actually still want to hang out with the family such a blessing. Mine are grown and they stopped wanting to go anywhere with us when they hit their teens . I hope your boys always appreciate their parents and way of life .
I grew up going to Amish Country every year till this day it’s one of my favorite childhood experiences and memories I just love it even now . Your boys are so sweet and wonderful to watch on the channel you have a beautiful family I love how supportive and sweet they are . Keep on making wonderful content you’re doing a great job ! ❤
Brooke y’all need one of those pie makers for each of you so it doesn’t take so long to make enough for everyone !! All your pies looked delicious I think my favorite would be the Italian , I love Italian sandwiches snd pasta salad ! Thsnks Brooke enjoy y’all’s camping trip !! God bless ❤️🙏🙋🏻🌈🌈
I assume we can do something similar in one of those as seen on TV sandwich cookers or in a skillet, air fryer or oven at home. I see those sandwiches makers in a lot of thrift stores for under $10.00. All of these recipes can probably be easily adapted for other cooking methods. Thank you Brooke!
Brooke, your boys are the cutest! Ryder can pass for the guy who plays Colin on the Bridgerton series, Brayden makes me smile every time he samples your food and Colin is just plain adorable! TFS!!! Happy Birthday Brayden!!!
Happy Birthday, Braden!!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 We have some of those campfire irons, too. Thank you for sharing those fun ideas for pie fillings!! Brayden's reactions to tasting them are the most genuine when he likes his taste tests! The '10' reaction for the 'Nutella' and marshmallow was the best everrrr!!! Ryder's reaction to the Taco Bell was on point. You could tell it is his favorite. It must taste closest to the authentic! 🎉🎉🎉 Your camping trips must be so much fun!
We used to make peanut butter and marshmallow ones. All of these can be made as grilled sandwiches on dreary winter days as a pick me up. Love these ideas!😊
Tacos! Taco meat, cheese and taco sauce. Take it out, wrap lettuce around and enjoy. Or skip the rabbit food your choice! Lol We loved making mountain pies. Brings back memories of going on wagon trains for decades! Those were our vacations. Took the whole family of people, dog and whatever team of mules or ponies we had at the time. Treasure those moments of peace around the campfire. Im old now and think back on those times with a smile and a happy tear or two missing my ma, dad and pets. 😊
Biggest fan right here. I be talking about you like you like you really the bestie. Lol thank you again Brooke much love from my family to your's 😁💚💯✌🏼🙏🏼
Cooking with you, is a way to have a good time, to smile, even we meet personal problems...time seems to stop...You are as a virtual member of my family....😊😊
(AKA Nancy Turner) Hi Brooke! I'm a brand new subscriber from South Carolina! Just found you on RUclips! Been binge watching your videos! I LOVE your channel!!! Great cooking & you have a BEAUTIFUL family!!!
Love campfire pies. Any sandwich filling works. Try pizza or sloppy joes using garlic bread. Buttered bread and your choice of pie filling. For breakfast bread bacon and egg. Pancake batter and sausage.
We started making these over forty years ago. You can also use pizza sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, peppers, white bread, etc. Thank you for your wonderful ideas! They are such fun to do! We used our fireplace in the wintertime and it worked great!
I was making these in the '70s and we called them Pie Irons. We just had an open bonfire and we shoved them right into the coals. I must say we did them with bread though
Well, we have pudgy pie makers as we call them in Wisconsin, we’ve always done it with bread tortillas that’s a great idea. Try that. We usually make like cherry pie or apple pie or some pepperoni, pizza sauce and cheese or ham and cheese, but I like the tortilla that is excellent.
We just had mountain pies Saturday! We had the basics like pizza, Reuben, apple pie filling, blueberry/cherry pie filling and can add cream cheese, and peanut butter with chocolate pudding and marshmallow. We always butter our bread slices instead of using the spray.
Brooke, Peanut butter spreads better if you use the back of the spoon & then it doesn’t feel as weird! I make homemade grilled PBJ’s uncrustables on the stovetop & those are delicious too. ( for those that don’t have a grill.) this looked fun to make!
You're so fancy! Growing up we only did the sweet fruit pie filling type pies. Nothing savory. Do me a favor, try loaf bread, graham crackers, marshmallow, chocolate, graham cracker s'more pie!
You gave me an idea for a crunchwrap pudgie pies the next time we camp! We usually make a huge one in the cast iron but the smaller one would be faster.
Happy birthday to Brayden! I’m a July 3rd birthday and we will celebrate on the 4th of July! Camping is always fun! Have a great 4th Brooke and family! ❤😊❤
Hello from Pittsburgh PA, long time viewer, now a subscriber! Everything about you is absolutely genuine, joyful and honest. Thanks for making this yunzer remember good times, simple happiness and yep, you can do more with less. Peace to you and yours my friend. 😊
Brooke, thank you so much for sharing all of your genius ideas, I’m going to order a couple of these pie irons after I get paid, the different types of creations will make it so fun!
Happy Birthday, Brayden. He reminds me of my grandblessing Brayden. He turned 15 in December. Blessings. I hope yall cleaned and are going to eat the turtle. It is so good.
I grew up camping with pie iron pizzas camping but these are a whole new level, Bestie! Thank you for sharing all of these delicious creations, Brooke. Have a great trip and be blessed always, my Southerland Squad! xoxo
u made toasted pb&j. i love them. add an icy cold glas of milk. yummo. all ur pies look yummy for the nutella and marshmallow. get the jar of fluff. its yummy. b. when inwas a kid (im showing my age im 62). we used to make these pies. too. ur episode made me smile. i made my kids these pies too. and another pie we made was pb & fluff. pies too. hehheeh. lots of joy remebering this. thank u brooke (sorry if i spelled ur name wrong)
On the s'mores one when you asked if that was too many marshmallows I was thinking you can never have too many marshmallows. Very quick and easy camping meals but could easily do them at home if you had a sandwich press or even on a griddle.
We used to make them in the sandwich machine (kind of like a waffle iron but for triangle sandwiches.) My favorite was cherry pie filling and cream cheese!
great recipes , i rem my aunt /uncle had a campsite and we did those campfire dessert ones, but they used suet bird feed cages and uncle welded poles to it and did it that way that way the bread gets toasted and fits perfect without burning the edges or losing bread, she did butter the outsides of the bread , and we had them every night , so this brought back great memories for me ...ty Brooke !!
Dear Brooke, I loved this video❤. It brought back so many memories of making these for my children. They loved them and so did I ! In fact, when the weather was bad, I made them in the house on a gas topped stove 💕🙏🙏
Hey Brooke, I love your pie recipe. I'm single and don't camp anymore. I bought one of those mini sandwiches maker. Going to use Street tortillas instead. Love your videos. Abbie from VA 😊
I absolutely love your camping videos. It reminds me of going with my family when I was little. My mom was always making the best food with the most simple ingredients. It was the love she put into everything. You make me think of her by the way you treat your boys. All of these looked amazing. Another great one. God bless you all and happy 4th of July guys .
Love your channel new listener. Have a good cheat for camp fire goodie take dutch oven and roll of cinnamon rolls with the cream cheese icing. Put cinnamon rolls in Dutch oven and pour whatever flavor of fruit pie filling on top of cinnamon rolls. Bake til rolls are done. Then while hot drizzle with cream cheese icing. My crew loves apple or peach. I made a strawberry one one time with chunks of cream cheese added very pretty but it wasn't as good.
You folded those camp fire pies 🥧 one handed like a boss!❤
I absolutely love how your boys look up with pure pleasure lol. Its so stinking cute...
The way you fold them they look like crunch wraps from Taco Bell. The Italian one looks good 😋

We have 4 for just the two of us. (Not really! We just often feed others while camping.) You need to make sure to get the heaviest (cast iron) ones.
The old ones used to do 3. Hunt at the 2nd hand shops.
We use butter on the bread then put it in the pan.
I’m so happy I found your channel.
Just watching you and the family makes me feel good.
Love your videos!!
Thank you!!!❤❤❤❤

Brooke, your boys are the cutest! Ryder can pass for the guy who plays Colin on the Bridgerton series, Brayden makes me smile every time he samples your food and Colin is just plain adorable! TFS!!! Happy Birthday Brayden!!!
The actor’s name is Luke Newton, I believe? And you are so right!
I think Ryder favors Christopher Briney from The Summer I Turned Pretty
Happy 14th Birthday, Brayden!! Thank you (and Colin) for being your Mom's taste testers - you guys are THE BEST!!
I appreciate that you did mostly savory recipes in this video! One sweet one too! I am a fellow camping 🏕️ girl!
We called the Pie Irons, 50 years ago. Not sure now. We did a lot with pie filling.
How old is Brayden? He is the one that love's about everything his mama makes,he seems like he is not a fussy kid at all ❤
14!
Happy Birthday, Braden!!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

I grew up camping and eating fruit pies cooked the same way. Instead of oil, we used the squeeze margarine. Such fond memories.
All the pies look yummy! Happy Birthday Brayden! 🎂🎂🐢🐢💚💚💖💖
You're so blessed with those young men of yours. They are precious 💖 thank you for sharing your campfire recipes.
Tacos! Taco meat, cheese and taco sauce. Take it out, wrap lettuce around and enjoy. Or skip the rabbit food your choice! Lol

Happy Birthday Brayden, brings back camping memories when our kids were young
I'm losing it! When you were making the pie with chicken and bbq, by the handle that knot hole looked like a spoon.
Love campfire pies. Any sandwich filling works. Try pizza or sloppy joes using garlic bread. Buttered bread and your choice of pie filling. For breakfast bread bacon and egg. Pancake batter and sausage.
What do you do to make the bread bacon and egg sa dwich?
Was thinking of making some sort of stuffed sausage gravy biscuit in that pie iron thingy 😂
@@DvLnDsGyZ that sounds like a great idea. Let us know how it turns out.
I am a senior citizen, love your videos, I laugh and learn at the same time

Looks like a fun time; that was a beautiful turtle 🐢 Did he let it live?
Your sandwiches looked SO good! God bless you all 💚
The turtle lived! Thankfully, he wasn't hooked deep and actually got himself off the hook.

You are correct, pie irons are what I have called them.
Happy Birthday sweet Bray! Im loving these
Bestie, these ideas are great. I didn’t like peanut butter until I ate it melted. And your Nutella/marshmallow pie looks so good. Thanks for sharing!
Add some drained canned corn to your tuna mixture for your tuna melt! It is supreme!
The possibilities are endless, happy birthday!🎉
I love to watch you, you make everything so fun!! Happy Birthday Brayden!
I am so excited for this. I will be making these on the 4th🎉
Thanks for sharing !
For the Nutella one, I’m gonna use Pound Cake! So good!

We've got suet feeders hanging about 15 feet from the window, and I am eyeing them hungrily.
Tough luck, birdies!
Happy Birthday Brayden 🎉 Miss camping it's been a lot of years 😔
We always called the hobo pies😋, yum
Dear Brooke, I loved this video❤. It brought back so many memories of making these for my children. They loved them and so did I ! In fact, when the weather was bad, I made them in the house on a gas topped stove 💕🙏🙏
i prefer the round pie irons. Really seals up the edges of the bread.
We haven't seen the round ones. I'll be on the lookout for them!
Next time Brooke use a graham cracker in the pie iron with those marshmallows that have chocolate in the middle....mmmm I gotta have that!!!
I am investing in one of those for my log burner! And I'm surprised Kylen didn't want to keep the turtle as a pet haha x
Yum! These all look amazing 😋
I just got one on clearance for $10 a couple of weeks ago. This video came at the perfect time.
Yum!! This is a fun little tool!
Hey Brooke, I love your pie recipe. I'm single and don't camp anymore. I bought one of those mini sandwiches maker. Going to use Street tortillas instead. Love your videos. Abbie from VA 😊

I was thinking some whipped cream cheese in with the pie filling would be amazing.
