I think what she means on the chorus is that she's embracing her past mindset without shame like "yeah, in the past I said what I said". She "said" that she used to think that being famous is what matters the her the most, but now she doesn't care about fame anymore at the point that she's making songs that she enjoys, and that's fine people can change their mindsets. The whole thing about fame is mentioned at the last line of her last verse.

For example, Sam Smith unholy, Nas X lap dancing with Satan. I’m just trying to do my part to see that this ain’t taken seriously by people who have their head so far up Jesus and throwing Bibles. We didn’t say nothing when Lil Nas X did it and he wound up on several new stations and people boycotting and picking in against him and he’s making gay folks look like demons. I love Doja Cat. ❤ I think her feuding with online trolls takes away from her image, personally. However, she knows what she’s doing. Sometimes you get fed up and need to defend yourself.
I can definitely see both. As a fan I wouldn't like it. But as a artist myself- I understand it.
As much as i'm not a christian and a very firm atheist. i actually feel kind of worried for her mental health these past few months, getting called demonic and losing half of your fanbase in a flash must not feel great. I have been in LOVE with this era but honestly this is a point where i'm scared the art may consume the artist. Reminds me of the public backlash from ARTPOP by Lady Gaga times x1000

In the attention video the faceless people is supposed to represent Doja reaching a point in her life where she does not care about what other people say or do. Its a visual representation of what our minds do in dreams when we focus on one person in the dream all the other people are blurred or faceless. This is essentially Doja cat saying she is only doing this for herself and she only cares about what she wants to do.
First of all, Never felt so relaxed with a reaction before, love it 😍; and second, For me Doja is an artist that represents what is to be loved and hated, some people were obsessed with her when she was doing “today’s” type of music but now that she is going for something more “Doja” she realized not everyone is here for the music but for the “today’s standards”, I aint gon lie I like some of her old music but I’m obsessed with what she is doing rn.

Although we don't see it, I think it's implied that she is feeding the raw meat to the green devil she rides in on at the start of the video. At the end of that riding scene she jumps off the green demon... and If you notice she is wearing the same exact outfit when she walks in with the wagon of meat, insinuating that she's now feeding the demon. (in this case, the big green one) Once he's fed she's back riding him again at the end. Only cause there are four different scene set-ups, this was my storyline guess. : )

The eye is the symbolic of her giving her point of view. Her riding the beast, embracing beauty in what other sees as death, feeding demons while others see her from high. The lyrics alternating between comments and what she thinks about them "walk on by". We all have our own demon and we better not see others from high. Look at yourself before commenting negatively is basically what she is saying in my own opinion.

There was always something nagging me about paint the town red n it just hit me.
The mingling of the bright pallete w the dark symbolism is what is unsettling. Its feels like tooo bright yk. Like the kind of brightness that's fake n just there to conceal the darkness lurking beneath.

I really liked what you had to say here. And I loved how you said many paused shots in the 2nd MV could easily be a photograph. I agree wholeheartedly, as many of the ideas were inspired by Doja's own paintings (sorry if you knew that already or someone told you, I'm just still blown away by this little fact! 🩵). It was fun to see her be able to bring her own art to life in such a way.
As for Doja's change in sound, style, or approach to her music, I'm not bothered by it whatsoever. Don't get me wrong, I can neither excuse nor stand by the type of controversies that Doja herself may kick-start sometimes.
However, she's still human, no human is perfect. And it'd be ignorant of any of us to just assume she would or SHOULD never take personal offense to the nasty things people say. Degrading comments over her shaved head, "I miss the old Doja" as if musicians aren't pressured to force a "relatable" image more than ever these days, discrediting her as a rapper, claiming she sold her soul, calling her demonic, deeming her "unf*ckable" because of the way she chooses to dress now, etc.... I can see why she's fed tf up, in THAT regard!
