I have goosebumps all over my body listening to this... 21 years ago as a young guy i heard this for first time on a DVD player conected to good speakers... and i immediatelly fell in love with this sound. Even more - thanks to Qlimax 2003 i finally found a noise that i was looking for looong time. Since that day i became hardsounds fan. Honestly since back then i listening more or less only hard sounds. Now im more in terror/speedcore, but still this set is making me crazy ❤️❤️❤️😍😍 Big love for all ❤️💪

When I was 5 years old someone in our family was playing this DVD and i really liked it, They gave the DVD to me and I was listening to it everyday!. And now I am watching it back on youtube 9 years later and I'm getting goosebumps of it! Qlimax 2003 whas my childhood!

Dude, me too! I got it in 2004 and it's what got me into hard dance. It might just be nostalgia, but I don't think they've ever topped this Qlimax. The atmosphere looks unreal.

Omg, that opening from bas & ram is truly my favorite piece of hardstyle ever :D + the prophecy from deepack, must the best track ever as well. I remember having this DVD back in the days when I was a teenager, I wasn't even listening to hardstyle or this kind of music, but I loved it and used to listen it very often. Then I got into electronic music much deeper, but that's another story - this DVD is probably the reason for it! Good stuff, missing the old days

Back then.. how to say, hardstyle was not made for everybody to listen. The producers were not afraid to be different, actually all the harder styles during these times were a way of doing things differently from the mainstream. We were a minority, enjoying this very quality product. We were happy to rave and the producers were satisfied with us, the ravers, they did not need mainstream attention. Today we don't see that. Only thing that counts is the amount of views you get on youtube, what counts is how many people listen to you, how much revenue you create. This has had a huge impact on the quality of the harder styles. Hardstylers today, if there is even such a thing anymore, are not enjoying a niche product, like we used to. This was really good stuff.. so we came to a situation where we did not want the mainstream, but the mainstream wanted us. So the golden age of the harder styles, 2002-2006, came to an end.

I honestly beg to differ from you. The reason hardstyle is still around today is because of its ability to adapt. Times have changed, the focus has moved from the simplistic kick and bass from here, to be a lot more complex. with the advance in technology, production got better. hardstyle has the magic touch still, it did back in 2013, and it does here in 2019. It still has a very nitche setting, but its carved a bigger piece of the pie than it did in 2013. Hardstyle honestly is the only music I listen to. It doesnt matter if its Raw, Euphoric, hardcore, ect, I love it all. Nowadays, hardstyle is veryu diverse. you have Da tweekaz with their bouncy style, MYST with his heavy hitting kicks and uplifting melodies, Phuture noize with his very atmospheric tracks, DBSTF and their Ghost Stories alias, then just all the unique sounds. Unlike House, Big room and all the other mainstream forms of EDM, hardstyle can evolve and actually grow bigger and better. Sure, its had its low points, but someone always pops up and revolutionizes the scene. Even today, you play some of these songs here, your going to make a crowd go wild. Change is GOOD for the scene. need a prime example? Look at Hands Up. It suffocated in onistelf because it couldnt adapt or change its sound, there wasnt any room to grow.
Fully agree. Hardstyle production quality during 2002-2006 was better than ever. Im from Cape Town South Africa and we used to have the biggest and best club in southern hemisphere of the world called Dockside Superclub between 2002-2006 ironically. Every month there were international harder style djs playing there at 12 hour Matinee parties. I was still under 18 and for some crazy reason the under 18 party scene here was better than over 18. Those days we were excited to see what dj was playing when they handed out flyers. It was always about the music and last place on earth you'd expect a harder generation to be born is in Africa. I was listening to hard house djs Anne Savage B2B Rachel Auburn live at the age of 15! LOL We were exposed to nearly every tidy trax and nukleuz dj before turning 18! Hardstyle was always special though. It would blow the main arena up! Music from DJ Isaac, Technoboy, Pavo, Blutonium Boy, Zany, Deepack, Dana COSMIC GATE ect WOW Nowadays the scene is dead. people have no idea about what a harder generation is all about. disappointed to see that hardstyle has become a commercial pop scene. No bass. No rhythm, No QUALITY. hell HARD TRANCE doesnt even exist anymore LOL
