U can get 2-3 of those these guys for the price of guentzel. 2 of those guys instead of just marchessault.

no, it does sound like kakko is staying. Drury was quoted as saying they arent ready to give up on kakko and they want to work with him tso he can hit his potential.
He’s kinda like another version of Trocheck.. which more of what we need.. tenacious, gritty & and pest in front of the net
Rangers should play Kakko rw1 until the deadline and make the decision if that line is good enough at 5on5 to win a cup.
Lafreniere is rising. Trocheck is rising. Panarin has been thriving. That’s the best line in the league right there since they were put together.
I would love to add marchessault to that third line. Cuylle Chytil Marchessault would be a deadly third line. Cuylle and marchessault would dominate anybody down low.
I would love the add, but if the rangers want to win a cup, its about figuring out that 1st and third line at 5on5. If lafreniere turns into a ppg player at 5on5 (I see it happening next season), and Kakko turns into a 60 pt 5on5 player (completely doable for him with kreider and zibanejad), this team will be even more dominant than this year.
All they have to do is figure out if they trust trouba will bounce back next postseason. If you decide you’re going to commit to trouba here, then you just need to let everything fall into place at 5on5.
Also, he really wants to have a feeder system with Hartford. For a team to change head coaches after going to the conference finals something is working

Kreider & Mika need a playmaking winger on their line, not another shooter.
would be an excellent compliment on the first line with kreider and zin but I'm concerned about his age, 33 Y/O. how much does he have left in the tank?
In no world is Marchessault better than Kane.
before even getting into the intangibles, here is a brief breakdown of Kane vs Marchessault just as players.
Marchessault's career high in points per game is .97, he has no other season above .87 PPG ; his 42 goals last year (contract year) was a career high, no other year above 30. Kane's career PPG is 1.04, .94 last year w Wings teammates costing him literally 20+ assists (check the awood highlights) ; Marchessault's career PPG is .76, .84 last year.
Kane literally had better PPG than Marchessault even in 22-23, a year where he was so badly injured he could barely skate and would get major career-risking surgery after the season.
Kane was badly injured 3 of the last 4 years, playing on a fake hip this year; and on playoff teams 0/4 years, and on a really terrible team in Chicago 3/4 years. Yet in those 4 years, Kane is 5 points over a point a game, while Marchessault on GOOD TEAMS is 53 points under a point a game.

He is soft...but he does everything else well. Imagine the hole in the roster without Mika. Pretty significant.
