the signature cakes and pastries of Red Ribbon here in the Philippines are Chocolate/ Mango mousse cake, Ube Macapuno cake, Black forest, Braso de Marcedes, Banana Crunch, Double Dutch sliced cake, and Flavored Mamons.
I am an avid subscriber of this couple they look wonderful together and very authentic. And yeah, I will definitely share this to my family and friends and have them subscribe as well.Proud Filipino here 😊😊
Try chow king next. Its a sister branch of Jollibee. The Jollibee company owns a bunch of other places, coffe bean and tea leaves, smash burger, mang inisal, red ribbon and etc..
Thanks for loving our Halo Halo 🥰🥰🥰 it is a very quintisential dessert or snack especially in Summer when it is sweltering. Filipino empanada is way different from our south american cousins because the dough is buttery either way if its fried or baked. I miss red ribbon too
This review is a 100x better than your max episode... 👍 Youre improving... Hit some filipino carenderias or mom and pop restaurants near you and just try out 2 to 4 filipino dishes (not a mukbang) and keep up with this concise food review focusing more on the taste and flavors and im sure youll get the filipino audience online coming...
Do the berries halohalo! The best in the entire world! But the problem is that kind is so hard to find, so im just gonna suggest to you that you make it by your self, its a mixture of different kind of berries 🍒🍓 of course with shaved ice, evaporated milk, flan on top and the king ube ice cream+mint leave! You got yourself a halohalo berries
Great review and video guys as always! I like your inserts in the video. They're hilarious! I like the positive vibes and the zest for trying new stuff! Best wishes and take care and more vids (filipino food or non pinoy food) 😀 new sub from Californyeah!
The halo halo at max was the typical/more traditional type of halo halo, this one you’ve tried is more of a customised version, a lot of shops make their own version of halo halo so it’s fun to go on a hunt and try out each and every one hehe
Great video guys! FYI, Red Ribbon is a subsidiary of Jollibee Corp., and usually its locations are right next to Jollibee. If you want to compare Red Ribbon Bakery to another Filipino Bakery, I suggest you check out GOLDILOCK'S Bakery. In fact, this bakery has been around for over 60 years in the PH. They specialize in customized cakes for all occasions, and they also serve Filipino dishes, and whatever you saw at Red Ribbon, you will also find it there, but the game changer is a dessert item at Goldilock's called The Brazo de Mercedes, which is a type of Meringue Roll that dates back during Spain's colonial occupation in the PH circa 17th to 20th Centuries. I know Molly will absolutely love Brazo de Mercedes.
Goldilocks is across the way from Chow King in Cerritos! And if you check out the Goldilocks there then go a few stores down just before you get to Seafood City then check out Valerio’s bakery, they have the best hot Filipino Rolls called Pan De Sol!
But Conti's is only found in the Philippines. They have great lasagna, cakes, tortes and desserts there. If you go to the Philippines, there are a lot of bakeries that specialize at least 2 desserts either made the Traditional way, or is a revised recipe made with ingredients not commonly used in the Philippines like pistachios. Examples are Purple Oven, Good Shepherd in Baguio and Tagaytay, Sans Rival in Dumaguete, Cravings, and a whole lot more.
If both of you can only try the Mango Bravo of Contis and chocolate cake of Mernel's, I think you would definitely love it. But I guess they don't have branch yet outside the Philippines. Contis and Mernel's are definitely both more delicious than Red Ribbon. I hope more people will discover your channel because you have nice contents. 🙏👌
Well, it's our dream to visit the Philippines someday, so we'll have to check out Contis and Mernel's when we go. Thank you so much for your kind words and support. CHEERS!!
Place siopao and empanada side-by-side, I would take the empanada and pair it with halo-halo. And with those Mamons you had. It is perfect to pair with coffee. You know let coffee be the sweetness resetter in your mouth.
You’ve tried Jollibee, Now Red Ribbon, go for the Trifecta and Try Chow King! All owned by Jollibee Corp! Chow King is Filipino Chinese Fast Food! There is one in Cerritos across from Seafood City!
The real Ube has that very vibrant purple color. When find a food that is not as vibrant then that is not real Ube. It is either purple taro or the purple sweet potato. The Ube crop is very vibrant even raw.
forgot to try the mango bars? you should also try mang inasal's halo halo, lol! your halo halo experience from max's, red ribbon to mang inasal will be from good, better, best.😄
Actually when I last had them I got 4 or 5 for 100 pesos or $2 USD more then enough to snack on! At Jollibee you can get the 3 mini Mango Peach pies for 70 pesos or $1.40 USD!

Hey, Molly & Isaac, time for you guys to visit the Philippines to get real, authentic Filipino cuisine without the veneer of Western flavoring to adapt it to the typically bland Western palate. Go on, I guarantee a most unforgettable time for you as you include a tour of the more than 7,000 islands in the country. Besides all that, here's a chance for you to get to a million subs, if you somehow tailor your channel to Filipino cuisine & culture. FYI, the Philippines is the no. 1 social media market in the world. Bon apetit & good luck.
Oh we would LOVE to visit the Philippines and I’m sure we will someday. Next stop Japan this summer and we’ll make some fun vlogs of that trip. When’s the best time to visit the Philippines? 🤔
Although Red Ribbon 🎀 pastries and cakes are delicious, but the problem is it's commercially produced. Might suggest trying those FILIPINO cakes and pastries which are home-made which are not commercially made. You can truly taste the FILIPINO flavor cakes and pastries.
