AHHH YES YES YESSS! I would have have LOVED to have the alter shrine instead of the mech! I can’t imagine Knuckles using a Mech to fight, he’d want to use his fists all the time! Lovely work!
I personally believe it could work if knuckles was injured and tails built it for him to continue to fight that or it’s a guard dog to watch the master emerald
In (very slight) defense for the Knuckles mech, it *does* allow a Lego representation of Knuckles to have the goofy Lego shoes the minifig is too small to have. Still a strange choice, to say the least, but it has that going for it.
This is awesome, would have paid $100 if the official set looked like this. Instead couldnt even tempt myself to pick up the official set despite it being hugely discounted.
personally i think shadow and knuckles should have swapped price ranges knuckles in the cheapoer set with a sightly bigger master emerald alter, the rhinobot, and animal would work far better while shadow rouge get the pod,bike omega and an egg pawn, and large badnik with a few animals
Nice MOC! I actually did my own but smaller. I'd say the only addition yours should make that I just made to mine is maybe adding some pieces to represent grapes (Knux' favorite food is grapes). And if you're ditching the mech, maybe you can try and turn it into his car from the racing games. I was thinking of doing that myself, but I love the mech, so I'd end up buying a second one to give that a try if I did. Otherwise, great build! Hopefully the leaked Knuckles set that's coming later this year is something along these lines.
Dude yes! I was baffled when they gave him a mech, I don't recall a time he used a mech but I know about his Metal version. I do like the Master Emerald but yours is a thing of beauty. 10/10 Rework. It's what it should have been.

In my headcanon, I see the Knuckles mech as a robot built by Eggman that the Doctor can pilot to give himself the strength of Knuckles.

Knuckles can hold the handles. The hands are like gloves and they come off to show regular Lego hands underneath. I hope that made sense
