Yes, there are no fences to keep the stock in. One of these days we'll get that done. The ruling grade is 3% on the long trestle, but most of the grades are more like 2 or 2.5%. Years ago I had just a single loop of track which was reached from the yard by a 5% grade, but I found that I couldn't pull anything more than one or two cars up it, so I put in the full turns around to get the grade down to something more reasonable. Even 3% is pretty challenging for those little 2-8-0's.
