Just today I got a beer keg that someone had already made into a gas tank. I got it from an antique store of all places. It's gonna be the gas tank for my 1930 Ford Model A Fordor.
@@FordF100World Sometimes I get lucky. The local welding shop charges $45.00 an hour to weld aluminum. So if I figure that price then find a beer keg round up the filler neck and cap the fuel outlet yeah the price that I paid I'm way ahead in the game. And I even got the seller to come down on the price that was on the tag.
Are you going to weld that filler neck in place, or just leave it hammer fit so it can vibrate loose and burn your truck to the ground sometime in the future?

If you put some grease on ur drill bit... metal shavings will stick to it.

Beer kegs are not aluminum, they are stainless steel.

Old kegs were also aluminum .
First
