Happy International Women's Day!

Happy International Women's Day from everyone at Afghanaid and all the wonderful women we work with.
This year, we're marking the day by hosting a series of events in some of the most remote communities in Afghanistan, to celebrate the women we're working with, the men who support them, our staff who work closely with them, and the women across the world who empower them. These events will be held in local mosques and include speeches from religious leaders about the importance of women's rights, as well as giving the women a platform to talk of their own experiences.
