Trying to find a well made Potjie here in the States is not easy. Best Duty is a hard one to find. Am so happy that you are using a #2 size. That's the size I am looking for. The hunt is still on...a lot of poorly made Potjies out for sale. The percolater stem idea was great. Final product looks super yummy. Thanks.

This looks really good. And you made a nice video. But a full recipe would have been very helpfull. Including the mix in the bag.

I guess the bag proportions is still a mystery?

I agree with you, pity about the tinned tomatoes though!

Thanks for posting this....just one point of comment....metal utensils...?? I definitely suggest using wooden spoons to stir....the metal sound of the spoon stirring the chicken or onion in the pot doesn't compliment the end result......

Hi. Thanks for the video. I too would like to know how I can get hold of the percolator. Are you able to point me in the right direction? Thanks.

You can buy the percolator at Builders Warehouse. I went to buy myself one, they only cost R100.

Soups? Metal utensils? At least it was on a fire.

Fascinating. I’ve never seen a percolator in use in a Potjie before, any recommendations for brand or search terms to track something similar down?

Many thanks for the video, can I ask how much of what ingredients are in the bag ? Or is it one of those, if I tell you I am going to have to kill you family secrets ?
