@@savethebeesplantherbs8809 Read African history. Remember The USSR helped a lot of African countries fight against colonialism and took nothing from Africa and infact helped Africa a lot. I know because I was a kid in Uganda in the 1970s and remember The USSR training a lot of our soldiers and doctors and took nothing from us. I was actually sad when the Soviet Union collapsed because it was good for Africa as it kept the Hyenas and vultures away and those that were in, were cautious of their actions. However when it collapsed we saw the west get out of hand in stealing Africa's resources and causing lots of misery as all African leaders that were pro Africa were killed like Lumumba and Sankara. So I am glad we are now in a position to stop the exploitation and get trade going as China, Russia and Iran only want to trade, they are not interested in telling us which friends to have. For example China trades with both the west and Africa and never asks Africa to choose but they compete for Africa's favour. My question why doesn't the west do the same.

My understanding is that Russia was active in Africa during the mid twentieth century with millatary assistance against colonialism and opening up Russian universities to African students.
Russia's love for Africa has motives behind it. Africans are NOW welcome to visit Russia freely, as before, Putin didn't want mixed cultures living permanently in Russia. I don't understand why Africans hate the West, yet will visit or RELOCATE to Western countries. I haven't heard about Africans relocating to Russia. The bottom line is, that Africa should leave the West, Russia, and China alone and work within Africa. Moving dependency from one foreign country to another still is a sign of weakness. Africa is stronger than it thinks.

Africans do not hate the West but you must admit the West has been really savage to Africa and before you point out all the support in aid and loans from IMF don't forget history and what has and is being exploited by the likes of French through the CFA francs for instance. Just one scheme of many. What Africa gains from the relationship with Western governments is insignificant compared to what's lost. Only someone on a self sabotage mission will intentionally continue such relationship you will agree. Ultimately Africa is working towards self reliance and dependency but due to centuries of exploitation by the West, it is a long road. That is why a lot of Africans flee to other countries for sustainability even though they face really poor treatment and discrimination more so in the West.
