    Dan if it’s not too late, consider putting the kitchen door at the end, instead of where it is. It will save walking in and out towards the lift blind and also easier to “see and shout” into the workshop area (and also easier to hear the microwave when it dings..) 😊bloody nice workshop buddy ! 👌

      Because it isn't just a workshop, It is a 'studio' too. I want to be in full control of the lighting. In this episode the lighting in the timelapse is constantly changing as the sun goes in and out of clouds. The camera struggles to keep up with it and the images goes grainy.

    Sounds like us construction guys are quite the whiney bastards and you've had enough of the nitpicking, hahaha! The crazy thing is, construction guys should know better than anyone that, as you said, you can plan all you want but plans dont always work out. Sometimes you have to do stuff out of the ideal order cause one of the trades bails on you or theres weather or whatever. At the end of the day as long as its done right its a job done. You're on the home stretch now!

      Cheers bud. I don't want any windows as I want full control of the lighting and it to be the same no matter what time of day I am filming. The lighting in the timelapse in this video changes and the camera has to do a lot to keep up and still looks terrible.

    Great content. I had a similar issue with my concrete floor. In the end I used interlocking tiles, which can take around 3 tonnes per tile meaning you can wheel most stuff about like a car on a trolley jack for instance. Looks great so recommended for a future option - I saw you are going to seal and paint to start with. Just wondering what you are going to clad the outside with? And did you do the ridge tiles yet 😂 Impressive work in a short time!!

    A couple of Alternative thoughts before you go further - Rather than a shower tray & glass, why not just make it a wet room... more space and easier build 😎👌. You could also put folding or sliding doors across the kitchen front instead of walling it off meaning you could use it closed or open if you wanted more space.

    This is looking awesome Dan.
    If it was me, the one thing I'd add is a large sink to wash them grubby hands on the outside wall of the kitching in the workshop. Some times we all get sh!t up to our elbows 🤷‍♂️

    Great content, I'm really chuffed for ya.
    Re the electrics, you will need a 6/10mm cable for your water heater, not a socket feed btw. 👍and if it was me, maybe some mesh to reinforce the slab, but I know money is tight.

    • @DanChambersDAC
      @DanChambersDAC  Год назад +1

      Thank you bud. The water heater is a 3kw so will work on a 13 amp plug. Spoken to the lift company about the slab and they have said there isn't any need for reinforcement in it as I am using C35 Industrial concrete.

    • @martinknight510

      Mesh makes no difference on a slab this anyway it makes no difference to the strength of the slab itself

    Surely it would of been worthwhile plaster boarding the inside instead of OSB given it's cheaper etc.

    • @DanChambersDAC
      @DanChambersDAC  Год назад +1

      Not nowadays. OSB & Plasterboard are similar in price, With plasterboard you need to either buy tape and filler or get the walls plastered and the time to apply the filler etc. I weighed up the cost of doing it both ways and believe me OSB is the cheaper option. Plus the added bonus of OSB is that I can screw to the wall anywhere.

    enjoying watching your videos I watch a digger service engineer and when the digger arm is raised I noticed it was slowly dropping back too the ground you need to let the hire company know as it shouldn't do that so there is a faulty component on it
