Anna Biern Agreed, yelling is an effect of emotions but has zero benefits for the one being yelled at. Most people including adults don’t respond to being yelled at positively. And it is dangerous behind the wheel.
I wouldnt say she “failed” as a mother, but I will say yelling at your kid when she’s learning how to drive causes stress and panic for everyone

Driving for the first time is a stressful situation already and she knew her daughter was already pretty nervous. yelling probably made the situation worse and she started crying. I mean Gwyn wasnt wrong for her reaction but if yelled something like "OH MY GOD WHAT ARE YOU DOING" probably really upset the girl.
