crossbows countering maa is a bigger myth than the moon landing. You need more than 15 to one shot maa. maa closes distance too fast and even with kiting the out-dps crossbows. maa fits into any comp, tanking loads of damage, whilst crossbows can easily get completely destroyed by horsemen or mangonels added into an maa comp. Also, you can't build crossbows until castle, which I actually think is the biggest problem in the game. They should make a weaker version of feudal crossbows.
