Hey man, just wanted to say I’m pleasantly surprised to see you making content still. I was 14 when I watched your first Pokemon yellow video, I had no idea what ASMR even was, I just wanted to watch videos on the game. I was so confused as to why you were whispering, but thank you for introducing me to the genre 11 years ago. Now I’m 25, it’s just crazy man.
I love this so much, thanks for sharing! Glad I could be your introduction to ASMR all those years ago, and I appreciate it so much that you're still watching my stuff. It blows my mind that people like you have basically grown up watching my stuff! Thanks for being a real one :)
Same here lol, I also became aware of ASMR because of his pokemon yellow video and I still have it in the playlist I added it too like a decade ago. Crazy, time flies
I mention in the video that I think I'll make these Pokemon Yellow vids on an "on-demand" kind of schedule, so I appreciate you letting me know that you'd like more! Thanks!
Yes! Its now 11am in Spain and i am flying home tomorrow to South Africa after 2 months here. Now i know i will have a good nights sleep before the long travel home. Thank you!
Preemptive good vibes for the Livestream on twitch, while I cannot attend I look forward to spending time in the wonderful community you have cultivated. Take care Nick.
Yeah, the sound is a tough one. It's classic and nostalgic, but as you say, kind of abrasive. Plus for some people, music seems to disrupt ASMR no matter how quiet. A challenge is that the Analogue Pocket has digital volume controls (rather than analogue like on the original Game Boy Color...ironic) and the quietest possible volume increment is still a bit loud for this kind of video. But I may experiment with it next time and see what I can do.
@@theASMRnerd ahh yeah tough one then. The overdone and not worth it solution could be to capture the audio via headphone jack and do it in post… but… yuck lol. Beats the simplicity of pointing a camera at the Analogue Pocket and banging out a vid. Probably no sound is best hah. Is this all a one microphone setup?

Amazing timing! Speaking of which, you're CERTIFIED FIRST! 🥇
@@theASMRnerd am i though? the bot beat me to it again lmao
I'd like there to be low level sound for the next episode but I am happy to be out voted on that point as well, no biggie
Still waiting on a spoon review. I still use the fork video to sleep
🥄
Do the mew glitch pls
YESSSSSS!!!!!
vote for sound, but barely on. The noises are kinda abrasive, but should be ok if it's real low.
