- This is a very powerful scene from one of my favorite films, In the Name of the Father. Directed by Jim Sheridan and released in 1993, this film is about the people who were wrongfully convicted and imprisoned for the IRA's bombing of the Guildford Pub. Known as the Guildford Four and the Maguire Seven, these people were used as scapegoats by the British authorities in a time when the United Kingdom was screaming for blood.
In this scene, some of the prisoners create a distraction so that an attack on the Chief Prison Officer can be carried out.

Wow that line they put out the window. I remember when someone was passing a parcel of weed and the line broke and it fell. It took about ten people to guide the guy with a comb about an hour to pick it back up, job well done. One of the best movies ever made. I know it’s nasty what they did but you have no idea how horrible screws can be for no reason at all. They push your buttons for nothing. I can imagine how satisfying it would be to get revenge. We offered out a screw once but he would only fight my cell mate next to the emergency bell. Once I saw a screw get knocked out one punch when he agreed to a one on one.

We would play pool and have pints. I just met him by chance one Sunday in my local
He was traumatized by his experience though. He eventually moved to the coast and bought a house
