This was one of the more difficult projects, take your time and you too can rebuild your calipers. Thank you for watching!
That was a great video. Well done sir! You only speak of what is necessary. You made it look very easy too.
thank you!
Thanks for this video man. Rebuilding my gtst calipers and this made it tons easier. Appreciate it 🙏
glad to help 👌🏼
Very nice job, I am going to rebuild my brakes on my 1990 Nissan 300zx. Thanks for taking the time!
Thank you for watching, I'm glad you liked the video!
Great job Eric! I'm in the process of doing mine and glad I found this. I was struggling with my first caliper (RR) and then realized i need to use your method of using the brake pads to keep things in place to get them BOTH out. Well done sir!
Thanks for watching glad it helped you out
I cut off the old brake line in the rear. Now I have to get the remnants removed from the hard line connection up by the frame (not the caliper). Any tips on getting this off? Soaked it in PB blaster but it’s a beyotch. Will try heat but it’s tight in there. Any tips would be great.
Very good information thank you for showing all the work
This video is soooo helpful !!! Buying a pair for my 93 rhd Nissan gloria 2 to the big brake !!!!!
thank you I'm glad it helped you out!
Excellent video!! This is the best How to for this generation of Nissan calipers. FYI: These calipers are very similar to the R32 Skyline GTR/GTST brakes. Good technique with the old brake pads (I would not use new ones lol).
thank you! I appreciate your feedback. yes, the R32 are similar as well. using the old pads was alot easier in my opinion hope it helps you out.
Thank you for this video!
Great Video, Eric.
I was debating upon buying new calipers or rebuilding. Gonna to try rebuilding....much less expensive!
Thanks for the info.
Yeah new calipers can get pricey as long your used caliper are still in good shape you will be fine👍 thank you for watching!
Good job bro..I'll copy your skill.. 😗
Wow, I own a Honda crz as a daily driver and those brakes are single piston and are a million times more complex, it was easier to just buy remanufactured ones. Nissan did a damn good job on designing these.
Awesome vid, you've reminded to rebuild my brembos!
Thank you for watching! I hope this helps you out
Nice video dude. Keep it up.
thank you for watching, I appreciate it 👍
Hey, great video, I wonder if anyone has discovered or figured out the correct torque for the caliper halves? there is a ton o incomplete information on this. The impact wrench method is probably putting more torque than 25 ft-lbs. I have read some detailed discussions where folks have aclauilate the value based not he bot size at between 35 and 50 ft-lbs - anyone have a better source of information?
Gonna try this , What connection did you use for compressor ?
I was one that had a rubber tip I bought it at harbor freight
Hi! Nice video! I will order OEM Nissan Seal Kits, but there is no O-Ring for the calliper halves. Can you tell me the diameter of the seals for the front and rear calliper halves please?
Good job bro!!
thank you!
hey nice job, i got a 2000 nissan primera gx, what disc brake you use for this calipers????? please
I used Infiniti M30 calipers but I heard you can also use 2010 sentra rotors that are 24mmx280mm
@@ERICSDIYGARAGE did you speak any spanish??
How are the centric seals holding up? I'm wondering if i should spend the money on new oem seals for rebuild. Thx
so far no leaks 👍
I do love Nissan Caliber of Akebuno
Good tutorial 10/10
Thank you for the perfect score!
I know it's been a while, but do you remember how much PSI you were using when removing the caliper pistons with compressed air?
About 30 psi
When are you going to install these to your G20?
Im working on it hopefully this weekend but a video will be out on it in 2 weeks or so
Hey Bro On The Rebuilt Kit Is It All The Same For All Calipers? Or Do The Seals Differ From Front To Rear? In Other Words Can I Order The Same Seal Kit For All Four Or Not? Thank You For This Man
No the seals are different sizes you need to oder front and rear seals
I think it’s the rack, I’ve cleaned most everything and no leaks from the pump or hoses from what I can tell but leaks r coming from the rack. Gonna clean the rack again and check
Man thats a bummer, they can be hard to replace, have you turned the wheel side to side to confirm the source?
Forget what I just said lol after a thorough cleaning I can see the leak, the is a metal hose thing coming from the pump, it has a wire plugged into it and it looks like it goes up to the resvior tank. I got a vid if u want to see, maybe u can tell what it is
Sure you can send it to me on Instagram?
