On max. I can barely push it across the carpet and lifts it up, its that powerful. Halfway is more than adequate. Great little unit with good features. 9/10.
All well known brands are expected to pickup dirt very well. What would be nice to see tested is how well they are sealed to prevent leakage of dirt outside of the unit.
I saw a video on another channel measure the air quality (particulates parts per million) and he got 0 ppm. Dyson has some particulates. And Kirby had 0.
Had so many top end hoovers, these are so so good and the power of suction is mental. Anyone wondering wether to get one or not I promise you will not be disappointed !
As someone new to the Miele vacuum lineup, I have to say they did *not* make it easy to understand which model comes with which attachments... I was just about to order their U.S. branded "Complete C3" model until I realized it was more of a "basic" model - No electric hose, no electric wand, no electric brush head... Same goes for the "Total Care" model. Not to mention, their electric hose, wand and powered floor heads cost $200 *EACH* in case you felt like upgrading. Either something's been lost in translation, or Miele enjoys making their potential customers dumbfounded when selecting a model for their needs...
I think Vacuum Wars has a quick video about the C3 lineup. It helped me. I'm going with the Kona C3 which just has the basic powered floor attachment, the hard floor tool and the usual mini tools.
I've currently got a Bissell upright which has a specific design to NOT gather hair dog, cat, teenage daughters etc) and thread etc around the spinner brush. It's the best feature on this machine so I never have to sit down with a scissors and a fork to pry off the debris that accumulates around the spinner brush. I find my Bisell is not as powerful as I'd like and hesitate to spend this kind of money on a machine that doesn't have this wonderful feature. Does Miele have this feature? If they don't, they really should consider redesigning their spinner brushes on their rug units with this. Look forward to your reply.
Hello. What part is not working for you? Do you use it for your home only cleaning. You should still have warrants coverage, depending where you live. Thanks Tyler
@@SuperVacsOttawa I use it for home cleaning only, about 3 times a week. The motor is out of service, but the warranty period is 5 years and it expired. Replacing the motor is very expensive.
I ended up buying one. I was pleased but second time I used it the orange full bag indicator goes almost fully to the right. The bag is nearly empty since I inspected it visually. I didn’t vacuum any fine particles, just the usual dust and hair. I don’t get it, am I doing something wrong? There is nothing stuck in the hose or nozzle. I just set full power, place nozzle on rug and lift. Thinking of returning it but before I do I’m trying to find out an expert’s opinion. Thank you
Tell me if, at the Miele dealers across Canada, there are services on the repairs of Miele canisters, including the old models from the 90's as well as the C3 models that are only available in USA like the Calima, the Alize, the Kona, the Marin and the HomeCare+.
I still didn't get what's a difference between all three C3 models. Which particular attachments and features are included in each out of three C3 models?
It's a great review, thanks for posting it. But now I'm feeling slightly ripped off by Miele. It appears that there more versions of the C3s, which come with different head attachments than you've mentioned. I'm in Australia. Based partly on this review, I just spent more than I could realistically afford on a Miele Complete C3 Cat & Dog PowerLine (2000w) model. The unit did not come with an electric carpet head with height adjustment. It came with an air actuated TurboBrush with no height adjustment (plus Mini PowerBrush and smooth floor head, and the integrated attachments you've mentioned). I have absolutely no complaints with the suction and what the PowerBrush picks up. It's really quite amazing in that regard. But I have a bad back, and pushing the PowerBrush around is very difficult. It does not pull itself ahead with any setting on my indoor/outdoor carpet (very low pile), and need to open the air vent on the head to push it at all. I can't see how it could possibly be used on medium to deep pile carpets. It's less resistance with lower power settings, but eventually the power isn't enough to turn the brush and it's still difficult to push. Can't take it back, and can't afford the top of the line model.I don't suppose that this model will work with an electric brush head with height adjustment, as I see no place to plug it into the unit?
+David W Hi David, unfortunately the Miele tool setup is different based on region/country. That means that our C3 Cat & Dog here includes the easy to use power brush, but it seems yours does not. That being said, you likely have a non-electric hose, a non-electric wand, and the machine likely does not have a Power Head Power-out.
I wouldnt feel too bad about it. We get the powerful 2000w version which is what really counts and our pricing is a lot cheaper. (C3 cat and dog can be had under $450 if look hard enough and cheaper on special). The price listed for the vacuum in the video is more than double that in canadian dollars and with the 1200w motor. electric powerhead isnt worth the extra to me. Though for your case, its unfortunate and you really might have needed the electric one
What bothers me most is that I spent a month researching options and still missed the fact that it would be hard to push around.I think all C3s models are 2000w in AU. The actual prices vary, all much cheaper than their AU website prices. It would have been roughly $300-400AUD more for the ElectroBrush model - almost double what I paid but still considerably cheaper than $1200 for my last Wertheim.I found the C3 Cat and Dog online for $399AUD with free shipping. The local shop had it listed for $499 but matched the price for me. It's $799 on the Miele website.www.miele.com.au/domestic/vacuum-cleaners-1784.htm?mat=09983530&name=Complete_C3_Cat%26Dog_PowerLine_-_SGEA0 Now that I've had it for a while, it's not so bad as long as I do the house in sections. The bag replacement indicator hasn't worked since the first bag and filter change (a quick check online proves that's fairly common). Otherwise I'm happy enough with it. The same shop had the C3 Comfort with ElectroBrush (also 2000w) listed at $799, which is $1199 on Meile AU website.www.miele.com.au/domestic/vacuum-cleaners-1784.htm?mat=09983510&name=Complete_C3_Turbo_PowerLine_-_SGDA0
Buyer beware! I just got off the phone with Miele and I was told that there are no replacement Soft Carpet heads like the one shown here , they'll replace the SC version that you buy specifically for high end rug and soft carpet use with a standard one that can't be used with soft carpets and oriental rugs. All the other power heads that you can buy separately including the replacement unit they'll send you if the original malfunctions can't be used on soft carpets and rugs, how stupid is that?
Not loud at all. I run a cleaning business and these have lasted me roughly around 8 years and that's with at least 6-8 hours of use for about 5 days a week

I"m sorry this is not a "real world" review, It's a great video to get the scoop on what is included in the series, but to drop a bit of dust on the floor and on that advertising door-mat is not the reality of how a vacuum is used in a busy household with pets and/or kids. all of the attachments should have been used, and a demo of how high the thing can reach to the ceiling and the wall. Ever hear of a cobweb? Really this video is just a long and fancy advertisement. All pros, and no cons mentioned.
... I could pick up that stuff with my ridgid hand held... show how it does on shag or some thicker carpet and then let's take a microscope to it to see what it didn't pick up
Hi Shawn, you do get the parking system on the c2 and c3 units. Of course you wouldn't use the parking system on the c3 cat and dog or the top power line power plus because the vacuum head holds itself up. I hope this helps reduce the vacuum bag of lies.....

It also depends on the country. I have noticed that different vacuums include potentially different things depending on the country.
I would like to see how this actually works on pet hair and the roller maintenance of the roller with pet hair tangled on it
I will watch later many thanks mrs p
I used this vacuum I am very satisfied and happy. I have no any complaint.
Do you know anything about Miele Aluminium S548i ? A friend wonts to cell it for to me.
Can I replace that back retainer that keeps the bag if I lose it? On a c3
I’ve money put dwn on the c3 one so I had get a look here
what do you do with the dust bag? How do you empty it? Or do you throw it away and replace it with another one? Also what is the Watt?

May I ask slightly different in what way in England?
