The last time I watched this movie i thought of: why didn't enough fans supported it? It was actually very accurate. Even though Jaime was not the Jace in our heads, he actually personifies the cold Jace we all met from the books. That cold and not interested mask Jace wears all of the time in the first part of the saga :/
Idk why people didn't like him as Jace. He was in my opinion the perfect Jace, like he looks almost exactly how i imagined the character to look like just without the golden eyes and a bit too skinny 😭
This movie was released in 2013 (but it wasn't received well enough for a sequel). It was eventually followed up with the Shadowhunters series. I still think the casting of the two leads was much better, but the series' other characters brought the original writing to life.
Or even payed attention while watching the movie: Hodge clearly tells Valentine he could lie . “ if you lie and tell them they are both your children you will break their hearts.”

Not crazy at all. Everyone acts like you have to like one over the other but at the end of the day it’s whatever you prefer and there’s nothing wrong with that.
