If anyone is wondering, the accent for this is based of the 1940s and 50s gangster accent since Cagney Carnation is based of James Cagney, the man who played goons/henchmen in all the old Mafia flicks (that's also why Cagney uses guns and gangster slang such as cutting of the g in ing words in game. His gun is also a nod to a part of a flower that's spelled like pistol (though he uses a crank machine gun in game like old gangster flicks. The idea of a flower with a gun is a nod to a part of a flower) this concludes my Ted talk

the twenties radio voice Cagney does has an interesting history. people wanted to sound more sophisticated so the wealthy Americans of the early 1900s sort of mimicked a British accent, and soon it sort of became its own accent. not a real accent like something southern or Boston, totally fabricated to sounds smart basically
Isn't it called a transatlantic accent? I heard it called that somewhere, as well as something about speaking in a higher pitch because the technology back then tended to cut out lower frequencies.

4 years ago I made a script' for Cuphead the Musical. I tried to cover lyrics for almost all the songs in the game, and...none of them were so good, because now I understand that Cuphead is a game where the soundtrack is kinda near-impossible to make lyrics out of. 4 years later this shows up on my feed, and I'm like...God I wish I knew how to make lyrics as banger as these. I am so glad you did this because Cagney Carnation is my favorite character and Floral Fury is my favorite Cuphead song.
It's been a while since this series was mentioned, but you got about everything right! Elements from the (supposed) time period, plenty from the planted enemy, and of course clever lines both about the game and media! Whatever the wait's been, it's been worth it!
Best theme of this great game.

Cagney’s voice is so perfect, great job on this (also those yoshi’s island references are great)
It takes skill to compose a song like this however you really research your writing and give it thought. I like how most of the lines are centred around giving Cuphead a bad time and being the villain but a few sections hint at who the villain really is and how (Flower guy) is actually a hero for stopping further lives be destroyed just because of one man's sins
Pretty cool, Kyle has a great voice for the flower boss and I also liked his voicing as Gaster in dark darker and yet darker video you guys released a few years ago.

"Chickens that you used to chase they won't be chased no more!" Complex cartoon references never fail to amaze me. That was a reference when the demons criticize the main character of Swing You Sinner for stealing chickens and him claiming to have renounced that. And Cagney already dances like one of the ghosts in Swing You Sinner itself! I really appreciate it.
