Wow, thank you, Uwe! We tried our best since we are caravan enthusiasts and wanted to give the best overview and answer to some questions for those who are in doubt. I hope RUclips will have some opinions like you sooner or later! 👌✊😃
You are welcome 😊 It was hard to find these measurements before buying our caravan, so we decided to include and visualize. Will be useful if someone will be looking for such tiny details. 👍😎
Mate, I have never thought about a caravan, just stumbled on your video because the thumbnail appeared randomly and cough my eye, and now here I am, looking for caravans to rent and thinking how to convince my girl that our next vacation is going to be with a caravan. About the review, looks honest, appears to have all the data that a newbie would need and the best thing is it comes from real life experiences with it, not just a glance. Really great job, chapeau.
Hi, Mate! Glad you enjoyed it! This is our first caravan, so we had a lot of questions ourselves and we tried to mention all our concerns we had with good info and visualize with a proper picture on the screen. Hope it helped and you will enjoy your first trip with the caravan soon! Much appreciate for watching!
Wow, this Caravan is beautifull.. Wish i could afford it, but i'm gonna buy a cheap Caravan, rebuild it a bit.. And wanna live in it! Looking around a lot of information, Love your channel!
We bought a 530 GT Troll this year. Easy to tow, good for narrow roads, total freedom. Not as common in the UK. Lot's of people have commented with the word "beautiful".
The top pick in our opinion even after two summers. As you mentioned a lot of practical advantages and of course a pleasure to own an attractive caravan.
Thanks for a great video! We love Eribas , and are impatiently awaiting our new 410, so watching films to get a fix in the meantime The country looks beautiful too 🙂
Excellent video ! It's the best video to know the capabilities of this beautiful caravan the Eriba Touring Troll 530. I hope to have this caravan in the future. The only thing your caravan is missing is the waste water tank, to make your caravan truly independent, it's my opinion, I don't like the external drain bucket, sorry for it
Glad you enjoyed it! For sure it is not convenient to use bucket to carry additional cassette. Tiny caravan have their own disadvantages, but we got use to it. :)
Congratulations, hope you will enjoy time spent with caravan! Glad video was helpful and hope it just made you more confident in you choice! Happy camping!
Hi, i have Seen thus Video how. You make it very welll. We have an Ocean Drive and travel around in Mode warmer destinations. Maby we see us in the future. I wish you allways a good Journey. Best regards from Germany. Roland
Hi Roland! Thank you for visiting us! Good, you can enjoy warmer destinations. The weather in Norway is great now as well, but soon we hope to travel southwards. Both Eriba Ocean Drive and Rockabilly caravan are well noticeable on the roads, so will see each other from long range! 😂👍 ...or on one of Eriba Treffen events. 👌
Wow,nice video 😁👍 great small house on wheels you have in my favourite colour. Hope this year's season will bring you even more interesting travel adventures and you will keep showing us more of beautiful Norway ☺️🤗
We are getting ready for a new trip and were happy to find out that lamps are also dimmable!!! It was quite a big surprise after two years of owning Eriba. Thanks for the tips! 👍 👍 👍
Not bad. I have a Solifer Finlandia 620, and while it is obviously larger, I'm really impressed with the facilities of this little caravan. The bathroom is just as big (small) as the Finlandia. It's so small that you have to vacate it to change your opinion. How anyone is supposed to take a shower is beyond me.
Small caravans have their benefits and disadvantages, but since we do not plan to travel for long periods it has all we actually need and we are still very happy with Eriba Troll 530. We call this shower - emergency shower and so far we were able to stop on camping sites once we were on a longer trip. ☺️
Thank you very much for your pleasant comment. This was our first long video and review and we are glad that you liked it and of course we highly recommend planning your trip to Norway and if you will have any question - will be glad to help! 👍🇳🇴 Best wishes! 😁

We've traveled in Norway and Sweden in a campervan for many years now, but we're thinking of getting a caravan and a car now. Have you guys ever traveled in a campervan and how does it compare to traveling in a car and caravan? We normally bring quite a lot of outdoor equipment (tents, stoves, sleeping bags, food, canoeing equipment etc). The payload of most caravans is much lower than campervans I guess, but I can store the heavy stuff in the car as well. And how easy is it to turn on a road when you missed your exit?
Hello, and thank you for the interesting question! 👍 When we were considering buying our caravan, we carefully weighed all the pros and cons of traveling by car, with a camper, and with a caravan. For us, personally, the car-and-caravan setup was more convenient since we already had an Audi Q3 Quattro for comfortable towing and didn’t want an additional vehicle requiring regular inspections and engine maintenance. 🚗💸 We were also drawn to the fact that Norway is a safe country where you can detach the caravan and leave it in a cozy place or at a campsite. This way, you can take short day trips by car along narrow or challenging roads that go high up or far off the main routes. 🗺⛰🥳 Indeed, you can’t load a lot into the caravan, but there’s a convenient compartment under the bed for lighter items, which is also accessible from the side of the caravan. ☺️ There is a payload limit as well, so if you have a lot of outdoor equipment, then you will need to split the weight with the car. So far it wasn`t a problem for us. As for turning around, we haven’t had any issues! Most of the side roads, bus stops, or rest areas along the main road work perfectly for making a U-turn if needed. 👍 So, after four years of using our caravan, it still feels like the best choice for us! ☺️❤️

😊 👍 🇳🇴 (It is not so many Eriba Touring caravans in Norway as well. It appears that it depends on your dealer. They order caravan with optional extras on their decision, or customers will wait for their configuration. Our caravan has no awning and bike rack, but we got level indicators. Sure you can get installed at the dealer's workshop and get insulation - all these are original parts from Eriba-Hymer.)
We asked to install at once at the workshop of a local Eriba dealer. So far we never used a shower inside. Probably will be forced to find a solution once we will take a tour southwards.
Hello CrazyTroll team, Thank you for the great and informative videos! I live with my family in Germany, Lower Saxony and also bought a RockabillyTroll to travel. I have a battery (original Eriba Autopack) on board. In the video I saw your solar panel on the lifting roof and I would like to ask if you can give me more information about it? Is there a panel glued, dude, how is it connected to the electroblock, do you have the original battery..... Photos....??? I would be very happy about any information. Warm greetings from Germany.
Hello Maik! Thank you for watching out videos! Quite impressed with the amount of snow you got in Lower Saxony on your caravan. About the solar panel, I had this question before and wrote a separate article. There are some photos as well, so should cover most of the questions, but if something is missing - let me know, and I’ll try to help. crazytroll.no/how-to-install-solar-panel-on-roof-of-pop-top-caravan/
Fabulous review how do you find cooking right next to the bed any issues ? Also did you consider the 530 with a rear dinette before deciding on th rockabilly thanks Alan from UK p lol
Hi Alan! Thank you for watching our review! To be honest, the appearance of the Rockabilly model hooked us and we actually didn`t compare it to any other layouts, but we find it very practical. There is quick access from the dinette to the door, and in general, the cooking place itself is not the most used in our caravan and had no issues having a bed next to it. Being inside we spend more time on couches and we find it most practicable layout for us - comfortable siting, great view from windows, that are both give more than 180 deg. view due to the shape of the caravan body.
Love your Eriba and excellent videos. Thank you very much for sharing your experience with such a great quality video and narrative. May I ask what's the engine/horse power of your Q3 and if you feel it's either overpowered or underpowered for pulling the Eriba around Norway' mountains? I'm undecided between TSI or TDI also Cheers and Thanks again 🤗
Thank you, Charlie! We have 2.0 TDI, 150 HP and for such Eriba is probably a perfect match. This car was supposed for my Olga, since I often drive a service car and we bought it before we even started thinking about the caravan, so lucky we order it with hitch and Quattro. The last is mostly because we lived in a remote location with a lot of snow during the winter. After the last two years, this car is enough for mountain drives (derived up to 20% incline), but wouldn't risk taking less or without Quattro. TFSI or TDI is a personal preference, doubt it will make a huge impact on the road trips. Cheers, and thank you for watching! 🤗
Brilliant video! I wonder if you have time to reply to my comment. I’m about to purchase my first Eriba 560 Urban, brand new, after spending years researching and reading reviews. However, I’ve seen quite a few comments about issues like doors falling off, things breaking, and loose screws. As an owner who seems to love your vehicle, can you share your honest opinion about the build quality? Would you recommend buying one? I chose this model because I have a grandchild, and it seems perfect for trips around the UK and possibly driving to Serbia in the summer. I’m also new to towing and will be using a 2-litre diesel CLA as my tow car. All the best! I enjoy watching your channel. Take care.
Thank you so much for your kind words! I’m glad you found the video helpful, and I’m excited to hear about your plans with the new Eriba 560 Urban. In our video, we tried our best to show Eriba as it is and share our experience after one year of use. To be honest, we did a lot of research on the market and checked different caravans of similar size. We have chosen Eriba and after 4 years of active traveling, we don't regret it! We've been using our Eriba for four years, and overall, we’re very pleased with it. Like any lightweight caravan, it does come with its quirks. The Eriba, like many compact models, relies on lighter materials to stay tow-friendly, which can lead to minor issues like loose screws and occasional door adjustments. We’ve had to tighten or adjust a few things here and there, but nothing that’s really detracted from our experience. What still discourages us is the "bathroom", which should not be considered a shower. Materials are not water-resistant and we hardly can imagine what happens even after a single use, not talking about regular use. Another weak point is drum breaks but we got the right tools and made some maintenance ourselves since it is very costly in Norway. In general, we are satisfied with the quality, but it should not be compared to offroad campervans, which allow the use of heavy and robust materials. In my opinion, since it is a brand new caravan, you could include "fixes of all remarks after 3 - 12 months included in the deal. 🙂
The cable runs through the pop-top roof right above the wardrobe where all electrical stuff is installed. It has a slack of about 20 cm so we can open the roof. No problems with sealant. If you need pictures inside and outside, just write us an email, this questions was already discussed, since workshops in UK prefer to leave the cable outside. 😂😎
@@CrazyTroll Well, maybe one question: does the folding roof cause any condensation problems during colder days? I'm 186cm, so it would be open most of the time when I'm inside.
@@bartoszpajak2285 Yes, you will keep it open most of the time. When it is cold outside, there is some condensation on aluminium bar inside, but we easily remove with paper towel. It never drips or leaks, so I won't say it is a problem for us.
It might be better to some extent, but I hardly believe any bathroom in that size caravans can be a game-challenger. It will always remain compact, tiny and insufficient.
Hello Crazytrolls:-) I'm waiting for my rockabilly (aprox Spring 2022) I'm very interested in your solar panel. Can you sned me Pictures, Model and cabeling?? Thanx and greetings from lucerne, Switzerland Richi
Hello Richard! Great and really happy about you and your choice! Not a single day we regret about our decision to buy Rockabilly caravan. Regarding the solar panel... well... quite popular question, so I wrote short article with photos about it. crazytroll.no/how-to-install-solar-panel-on-roof-of-pop-top-caravan/ Let me know if something is unclear and I'll try to explain more detailed. Warmest regard from Norway! Dmitry & Olga CrazyTroll
We have seen someone renting out Eriba Troll caravans in Norway. It was around 4000 Nok (abt 400$) for week. You should check Finn.no as a main (and actually the only one) private announcement service.
Hi There is no fixed grey water tank, so we use small cassette tank similar to black water tank that is fixed, of course and already mounted in the caravan.
There might be a rack in front. We dont have it, but some Eriba caravans are delivered from manufacturer. Worth asking local dealer or looking for ones fitted with bike rack on aftermarket.
Mvh, Dmitry
@@CrazyTroll Tusen takk for svar :-).

Sure you can get installed at the dealer's workshop and get insulation - all these are original parts from Eriba-Hymer.)
@@CrazyTroll Teşekkür ederiz:)
Thank you..great info. Did you buy the solar panel or was it an optional extra? Have you found an interior solution to the showering?
We asked to install at once at the workshop of a local Eriba dealer.
So far we never used a shower inside. Probably will be forced to find a solution once we will take a tour southwards.
Hello CrazyTroll team,
Thank you for the great and informative videos!

I'm undecided between TSI or TDI also
Cheers and Thanks again 🤗
@@CrazyTroll thanks for your kind and quick reply. Merry Christmas and best wishes!
You are very welcome! Merry Christmas to you and your family!!!
Mvh Michael
Hei Michael! Vi har flere bilder lagt ut i artikkelen her - crazytroll.no/how-to-install-solar-panel-on-roof-of-pop-top-caravan/
Tak for svar 😊
Can I ask where you have run the cables for the solar panel?
The cable runs through the pop-top roof right above the wardrobe where all electrical stuff is installed. It has a slack of about 20 cm so we can open the roof. No problems with sealant. If you need pictures inside and outside, just write us an email, this questions was already discussed, since workshops in UK prefer to leave the cable outside. 😂😎
Great video! Really great! I’m considering buying one of these and you’ve produced the best material that can be found on RUclips?
Glad it was helpful! We tried our best!
Just write if you have any questions left unanswered.
Thank you for watching and pleasant feedback! 😄👍
I wish it had a Tab 400 caravan bathroom
It might be better to some extent, but I hardly believe any bathroom in that size caravans can be a game-challenger. It will always remain compact, tiny and insufficient.
Hello Crazytrolls:-)
I'm waiting for my rockabilly (aprox Spring 2022) I'm very interested in your solar panel. Can you sned me Pictures, Model and cabeling??
Thanx and greetings from lucerne, Switzerland

Hello Richard!
Great and really happy about you and your choice! Not a single day we regret about our decision to buy Rockabilly caravan.
Regarding the solar panel... well... quite popular question, so I wrote short article with photos about it. crazytroll.no/how-to-install-solar-panel-on-roof-of-pop-top-caravan/
Let me know if something is unclear and I'll try to explain more detailed.
Warmest regard from Norway!

Hi is possible to rent Eriba Troll.
We have seen someone renting out Eriba Troll caravans in Norway. It was around 4000 Nok (abt 400$) for week. You should check Finn.no as a main (and actually the only one) private announcement service.
@@CrazyTroll I try book 1 15 March to 25 March 10day. Any website you can recommend me sir.
did you take a shower in this caravan?
We still avoid using shower inside as mentioned in the review. Hose is long enough and we used it couple of time outside... or in camping, of course.
hi, onbord waste water tank ?
Hi
There is no fixed grey water tank, so we use small cassette tank similar to black water tank that is fixed, of course and already mounted in the caravan.
What about carrying bikes?
There might be a rack in front. We dont have it, but some Eriba caravans are delivered from manufacturer. Worth asking local dealer or looking for ones fitted with bike rack on aftermarket.
Popup roof is a deal killer
Small and tiny caravans have to sacrifice something and seem to us a pop-top roof is still a good solution, but not for very tall people, of course.
Something not well thougt-out with the pop-top roof...
Mvh, Dmitry
@@CrazyTroll Tusen takk for svar :-).
Excellent review - thank you for sharing.
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching!👍
