I was thinkin the same thing. Or somethin along the lines of Full Size Run.
Since they are done with that segment, you should take over and podcast/youtube interviews of shoetubers that didnt get interviewed at FSR. Itll be much more genuine amd lowkey wholesome since you an OG in this space, you know the ins and outs, and you arent gonna attack mfs like Welty and Dunn do on the show 😂. Seth, Hes, Tonyd2wild (even though hes been in it), WearTesters Bullitrc, Sneaker Phetish (dude got some strong opinions), seanGo, Foamer and Buckets, mjo23dan, etc. i feel like itd be a cool vibe since FSR is like what us OG sneakerheads listen to, and the younger gen listens to OG and up and coming shoetubers. You could do this all online and edit or get someone to edit like FSR did with the soundfx and memes lol
I orginally subscribed to you for content around sneaker releases. You provided great value on majority of drops and it was like a hidden gem for the amount of info you provide. I don't mind you doing skits as that might get you potentially other subscribers but that's not the main reason majority of us subscribed to. As a viewer, I personally watch your content that gives me value, similar to this right here (providing how much you can make as a sneaker youtuber). Being part of the sneaker community, we're all just hustlers that have a passion for sneakers.

Good video Mike! Love the growth in the last few years. I saw your first video where you said you would upload 5 days a week until the end of the year and honestly I've been watching most of them some I skipped cause life ya know, but I gotta say good content overall, very transparent and mature. I feel like people don't really grasp the journey content creators go through. You are not the channel, the channel is you in some way. You're the life of it, so it'll follow what you go through.

I’ve been rockin’ w/ you for years now and I did notice the uploads go down drastically but life happens and shit happens. I’m glad you’re back to uploading and I personally think you’re doing a great job. You’re my favorite sneaker RUclipsr. These other RUclipsrs are weird and put this facade personality on camera and I hate seeing that. Seems very gimmicking but you are just you which is dope.

Your content is organic, that’s why I keep coming back to watch your vids. There’s always room for growth, I’ll like to see more outfit videos, maybe some different clothing brands and attempt to be experimental. You were the first shoe-tuber i ever started watching. Maybe like 2018ish around there when i was really into shoes. And you’ve evolved in a huge way, wet both the same age, and i just sit here like “Dam, it’s not impossible, it can be done”. I mean your full proof of it. I just started my shoe review channel just this past month almost going on two. Started out with 9 subscribers now we’re up to 38 with almost 2K views from all 6 videos I’ve put up since i started. I can’t act like people like you, Mike Rich, Seth Fowler, Tony D 2 wild, and wear testers didn’t paved the way for me. Yall were my inspiration. Anybody who wants or thinking about starting a channel, just do it. Just press record and don’t look back, and just continue to grow and learn something new everyday. Yes, your first 100 videos wont be at where you want them, it’s okay, but you will make it!
I really like the videos that you make. I find them informative and entertaining. I got into sneakers back when I used to watch Jordan every night in the 90s my first pair of shoes like sneakers like Jordans were the Jordan 5’s . I also had the Jordan 6’s and the Jordan 10’s when they 1st came out. I recently into this whole sneaker thing back in probably about 2021 when the Carmines came out and I was so surprised about the whole sneaker game. I have seen a lot of the OG youtubers 10 plus years talking about the same situation you're discussing. The ups and downs how certain genres in RUclips are becoming super saturated or the youtuber not being their "AUTHENTIC SELF". It's becoming harder to stand out and continue to put out content that suitable everyone. With that being said there is trend, and it is being noticed. If you don't change with the machine, you will become a relic. I know I'm just a man behind a keyboard, so I can't speak for you personally. However, at then of the day you how you want your channel to be structured.

The clarity is cool. The one thing I hate about the stupid face in the thumbnails a lot of YT’s do along with the big red arrows. Mike-I'm a big fan of your work and still remember when you made that 2015 vid with the Aqua 8s about sneakers not selling out (crazy how that was 8 years ago). To be honest, I feel like a lot of older sneakerheads that were around 8-10 years ago and consuming RUclips content like that have aged out of the hobby or just have gotten busier with other priorities in life (career, marriage, kids, etc.). I think targeting younger sneakerheads and the content they are consuming (whether it is skits, shoe reviews, sneaker market buying advice, etc. etc.) is the way to keep this channel going for the long run.. Just my 2 cents but keep up the good work regardless.

Good video. I think two good examples of sneaker channels that incorporate "skits" or other non-sneaker content are Harrison Nevel and Sneakernomics. Harrison is doing other RUclips trends like buying undelivered Amazon packages, buying expensive things with singles, etc. It's his take on those types of content that you know already get good engagement. Sneakernomics is harder to copy because he's just a funny goofball and does skits poking fun at the community. Think he's taking great advantage of YT Shorts to grow quickly.
I started watching your channel more recently and appreciate the calm and sincere take on sneakers. You come across as a rehabilitated hypebeast 😂. Someone who used to buy and do content based on trends and grew out of that, now sticking closer to your personal tastes.
