Hie Linet and Charlow. I felt very emotional listening to your birth story. I feel most public hospital especially here in Africa have high cases of negligence. When l had my first baby I was not attended to even when i called for help but God always comes through all the time. I just sustained stitches a lot though but my baby was safe and l as well. When I had my second baby I went to a private clinic and the treatment was just perfect 👌. So l thank God for the gift of life that He gave you. Mwari varipo hama dzangu. I wish one day when you are about to have another baby you will have it in a environment with God fearing people who value other human beings and who have empathy. I hope one day all your back pains will be healed and you will testify of God's work once again. You are a hardworking couple and one day the Lord will remember you. Much love from 🇿🇼

Linet, you are undeniably a strong young woman. That was an incredibly traumatic experience for a first-time mum. I am deeply sorry for whatever you had to endure, babygal. You have an unwaveringly supportive husband by your side, ready to stand with you through every challenge. Here's to a speedy recovery. 😢🥹🥹🥹

Oh, Linet, that was a scary birth experience indeed! Thank God who pulled you through. That was indeed a miracle. So sorry about the back problem you now have to live with. With this back problem you're right about avoiding massages. My workmate ( female) who had a back problem went for a massage and is now wheelchair bound, can't do anything for herself and had to retire. Whatever was wrong was unintentionally made worse ( but she couldn't sue the spa, her son is the owner). That's how delicate the spine is. I take back my words about you jogging and speed walking, you definitely don't need vigorous exercises. Thank God for the gynecologist's advice. Pregnancy and back pain can't go well together. Glory be to God for the miracles in your life.

The one thing about our health system is that an emergency is not an emergency until it’s an emergency and many fatalities that could be avoided happen! Listen to your patients especially when they start having feelings of impending doom. Pay attention to that. And hemorrhage is life threatening and should be treated as such! I’m glad you are well! You two are so beautiful together

Hi Linet, sorry to hear that you have been under the weather.
Glad to hear you are feeling better.
Take heart my dear and be strong.
I am sorry to say that l & alot other people over here suffer silently due to working long hours(12++)on top of trying to balance home life.
I can assure you that having me time once or twice a week is very important. Do what you want on those days.......you can stay in bed all day,
go for long walks or gym if you can afford it and you don't have to answer to anyone.
There are a lot of women/men suffering over there for they are shy to talk about it. Glad you have the courage to speak up.
In UK, the resources are there, be it through gov., or at work and other organisations; if one wishes to go for it.
It's a shame coz a lot of people don't approach the services.
My dear friend, keep going and you will get there..... women power 💪.
At least you have a very supportive family, look after you my friend ❤.

Sorry to hear about your experience while giving birth in hospital. You are correct to say one must always ask questions and be inquisitive when attending hospitals whether you are the patient or accompanying someone. I know there is a culture in Africa where our doctors are revered and patients don't question them, but that must change because mistakes/accidents do happen. It is your life and you must look after it as no one would.

Wow,your story brings back memories of my own birth experience. I had a similar situation too. They cut a big vein during delivery ,l was bleeding so much l turned pale, and l could not lift my body.l became semi paralyzed and could hardly speak. I almost die.The doctor who helped me deliver cut me too deep. They reopened me, found the cut vein, and stitched it up.
But l had to get a blood transfusion because l lost 3 1/2 pints of blood because they took too long to find the vein.I felt like it was my last day on earth.
It was a very traumatic situation. I was glad l had my husband there fighting with the doctor's 😮😅 to ensure his wife was fixed.
He was so angry. The blood transfusions made me have rashes all over my body. It was a nightmare. I am grateful that God had healed me, and l am alive today.

There's really nothing to hide from the patient on the prescription...there are factors associated with unclear writing....bad handwriting, being in a hurry because you have many things to write and assuming that the next person to handle the prescription will be able to read...which they do. Otherwise the communication on the prescription is between the prescriber and the pharmacist not really to hide something from the patient.....and I hope you know that you have the right to ask the doctor what kind of medicine they have prescribed for you and how it works😊. Love from Zambia

If you have the antenatal clinic book you can read it, and if you have questions We can share, no one knows everything. There is a lot to learn from your story that can help other people.

God is an awesome God, all praise to the almighty God. Eat beets or any food that has iron in it daily, because it sounds like you are anemia, keep eating all you mention, you body still lack what those food has.
