  • Shop at Cabela's cabelas.xhuc.n... I believe everyone loves great homemade ice cream and this three ingredient recipe has got to be the easiest home made ice cream recipe I have ever seen. My moms best homemade ice cream recipe made fantastic ice cream, but it was not this easy. As a small child the family would get together and us kids were taught how to make homemade ice cream. Now back in those days the homemade ice cream recipes were not made with an electric home made ice cream freezer. It was an old hand crank homemade ice cream freezer. The home made ice cream me made in this video was much easier to make then what we made in those days. But I tell ya I would love to go back to those wonderful days and make some great homemade ice cream with old family members that have gone one to be with the Lord. I hope you will give this recipe, that I consider the easiest home made ice cream recipe, a try. I really believe that homemade ice cream is one of the most special desserts you can share with your family, expecially with a hand crank freezer. Not because it is the best homemade dessert you have ever had, but because of the great family time you will have anticipating this wonderful homemade dessert. Now please remember to like my homemade ice cream recipe video I also thank you for sharing my video of "Easiest Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream Recipe | HomeMade Ice Cream Recipe With Chef Johnny" video.

Chef Johnny, you've brought back so many memories, some good, and some bitter sweet of my childhood. Summertime meant, Homemade Ice Cream season was upon us. It never failed.
Mama used to always cook her own ice cream batter using the Eagle Brand. milk. Strawberry and Banana were the usual flavors.
I had a good friend who used to come over to our house. As soon as he stepped into the house he'd say "Mom, you got any Eagle Brand"? Then she'd say "In the pantry Bob". Yeah, he'd eat that stuff right out of the can.
Everytime I hear or see a can of Eagle Brand milk I think of him. He was KIA in Vietnam back in 1967 IIRC. Great guy.
    RIP Bob.
    Thanks Chef Johnny.

What was even better than watching you two make ice cream was watching you two get along like a married couple should. A lesson for all married couples that may be arguing with each other for any reason, make some ice cream together, drop what you’re arguing about, and appreciate each other. That way Satan never gets to win. You all have a wonderful time together. MUCH LOVE❤❤!!!

For a creamier taste, replace the whole milk with heavy whipping cream.
If heavy cream is too heavy and whole milk is too weak, try using Half & Half instead.

Every single recipe I have tried that uses milk instead of heavy cream has not been good. It's not creamy in texture but icy and lumpy. Worst of all you can't serve it straight from the freezer. I usually microwave it to soften it enough to spoon out. I have found a custard ice cream meets all my needs for creaminess and ease to serve. My recipe is 3 cups heavy cream and 1 cup whole milk. Heat to 170°f. Do not boil. Meanwhile whip 5 egg yolks with 2/3 cup sugar until creamy and pale. Slowly add hot cream to temper eggs while mixer is running on low speed. Mix 3 minutes. Return mixture to stove and heat, stirring constantly, to 170°f. Do not boil. Strain through fine mesh, add 1 Tablespoon vanilla and cool overnight. Churn per instructions for your machine. Remember nothing comes from easy and a bit of extra is worth the effort 😊

What the hell happened to churning by hand. You could not run fast enough to give me a damn electric churn. Been there and no more of that junk. Get you big ass on the floor, grab the handle and churn. It only takes about 15 minutes to hand churn and it will be much colder than that weak junk you have there can churn. To this day I have a White Mountain hand churn in my pantry and it still works very well. They are not cheap but well worth the price. Electric churn. Damn. You can have the old lady sit on the churn while you churn. That is the way we still do it. Motor stalling out. Another reason to have a hand churn.
