I agree. The main reason I watch streams/vods is because of the banter and conversations. I think if we were given an hour worth of footage of that while hermits played in the background, many would be happy.
It might be harder to know what Welsknight would want, considering he's been away for a bit - but you could always make a 'catch-up package'! Even just a book with quick summaries of what's happened since he's been on, like new shops and minigames (and the upcoming trial), could probably be a big help! I know when I've been away from a Minecraft Server for a bit, I lose track of all the new stuff - and I'm not on anything nearly as complicated as Hermitcraft!
For Pearl you definitely have to interact with the mail system somehow - maybe leave her gift as a “lost package” for her to discover in the lost package department of the post office?
After watching so many Hermits play Hungry Hermits, it makes me realize just how complex this mini game is. This might be the first video where Pearl isn't teaching the Hermits how to play lol
I think custom Zedvancements could be fun for a Zedaph gift. Build an arena for him to complete, well now, Jevancements. And another thing, the rain kinda hurts the vibe of the Xmas area. Maybe block the rain off with a non-offensive block to keep the area less rainy.

I really can't criticise your base forest, it's gorgeous, but if I were to change one thing, I think I'd have less snow/ice where the fire is, fading to more round the periphery... irl, the ground near the fire would be clear, both from the warmth and from the footsteps of weary travellers seeking the camaraderie of a fireside chat and beer. :) Also, what Xisuma said about remembering what music he was listening to in old worlds... for me it's audiobooks, different parts of my old bases are linked in my brain with specific stories I listened to whilst digging/building :D
For Gem: get her several shulkers full of sea pickles. You have to buy them from her and then place them back at her base or just toss the shulker box into lava/in the mail to Pearl/back to her/to the abandoned mailbox at Stress' place. She *loves* it when Pearl does that. For Pearl: maybe a farm for some of the resources she uses a lot of? She doesn't build a lot of redstone but she'd appreciate it.
For Keralis, make him a palm tree that you can flip a switch below to turn on Christmas lights for it like that iconic Corona beer commercial. You have to do this! It's literally perfect for his theme.

Hungry Hermits would probably be better as a sub series of hermitcraft. This leaves the runs intact, keeps the banter & stops us from getting burnt out on watching it by making it optional. I know I’m a minority but the burnout thing was heavy with DO2. (I watch everyone though)

Zombie cleo loves pandas. I would def give zombie cleo a stack of panda heads. And dyes are crucial for all her armorstand work. (i assume she has a low key flowerfarm) but if not give her tons of dyes and leather.
Unfortunately, Hungry Hermits looks like the kind of game that I, personally, won't really be watching full runs of until people start getting really good at it... but funny moments from the runs are always great!

Consider using spider webs and glass panes in the sky/air to simulate snow. Keep up the great content ❤️
