Being Danish means, we have a right to make fun of whatever. Your presentation brings to mind a prescient popular song in America from 1959, it is titled SummerTIME Blues and is sung by the late Eddie Cochran.
The final verse goes:
I'm gonna take two weeks gonna have a fine vacation
Gonna take my problem to the United Nation
Well, I called my congressman and he said, quote:
"I'd like to help you son but you're too young to vote."
Sometimes I wonder what I'm a-gonna do
But there ain't no cure for the SummerTIME blues
So, gentlemen don't hold your breath waiting on Parlaiment, you'll just have to keep twisting your old watch around till it ain't worth a skilling. Ask yourselves, what would Tyco Brahe do? he lived on Bornholm.
That part with "government not caring about law" just remindet me of something: In the German federal state Hesse, until very recently there was still an old law that allowed a death penalty. This law was actually sort of invalid, since the German main constitution does not allow for it and that overrules the Hessian constitution. In 2018 they finally decided to update the constitution and, amongst other things, got rid of that law.
That also happens in the U.S. with the states as well. Sometimes it's intentionally left because a Supreme Court ruling overturned it and are hoping in the future to change the court's mind and hence returning it to full legality.
In Denmark I believe there is still a law for attacking Swedes with sticks if they cross the kattegat in winter time when the sea freezes.

I think denmark has the highest rate of infidelity in the world so
@@berkerrang4149 you're gonna have to find some kinda source for that cause Japan does exist
Did RUclips just recommend me this video because I watched Only Connect season 3 episode 4 two days ago? That's mad!
Hold up, i just started watching Dark on Netflix and the guy Tom is interviewing is named Mikkel Nielsen and the topic of this video is about time. I'm actually shook about how much of a coincidence this is, and that's assuming that this even is a coincidence...
(Yes, I'm being dramatic.)
Or just a glitch in The Matrix?
@@SlateTiara a (currently) 0.15 second glitch…
I didn't even notice, great observation, thanks!
Spain is crazy in a different way. It's on the same time as Denmark, but parts are actually west of Greenwich. Result ridiculously late sunrises and sunsets, particularly in Galicia (north of Portugal). This is due to a Franco era change that put Spain on the same time as Germany. They've been talking about changing it for year, but they never do.
Make that "for years" (about since half a minute after Franco died).
3 years later: 0.10 seconds behind… the code’s working fine
Im sure the code is working just fine. It's probably just taking the leap second into account.
Someone should teach that navigation system how to pronounce ‘vag’ when in Denmark.
Dag Hammarskjölds Väg is Swedish :)
It's "vej" for road in danish
It's not better in Dutch. Tweede is not pronounced as twayday.
In finland some roads are named with roman numerals; the navigation systems pronounce these as Ai! Ai! Ai!
@@cityuser : Ah, that's the part through Sweden then. The dots (which are not in the subtitles) make a difference too. But in any case, it's not pronounced like the English slang abbreviation ‘vag’!

Another one of Toms programing title scrypts is still working well. 5 years on. 👏👏👏
I've been working on Bornholm (also in Gudhjem sometimes), which lies on 15th meridian. But I'm from the city of Stargard, which also lies on 15th meridian :-)
As always a great video. Velkommen til Danmark.
Jokkezation Tak, selvom jeg har boet i Danmark i 16 år fordi jeg er 16 år gammel😂😂😂
Selv tak!
