I have been very pleased with my Pelican water system. They are always helpful when I call because I often forget what system I have when I order. I don't bother with my refrigerator water filters because it would just be redundant and a waste of money. The water is delicious without it. Every tap in the house has delicious water. The occasional watering of the lawn never leaves the awful rust stains my neighbors have to deal with (cleaning with acid!). I could say more, but it would start to get weird. Just suffice to say, I am pleased with this purchase.

Excellent instructional video. Reminds me of NASA Space Flight Control describing astronauts tasks, ie. exceptionally clear and concise. Thank you Pelican Water Systems.

This video is excellent. Thanks, Clemente, of Pelican, for turning me on to it.

How Can I use the water if I have to soak the carbon media for 48hrs?

Our systems come with built in bypass valves. While you are soaking the media your bypass will stay attached to the plumbing and in bypass mode allowing water in the home until you are ready to hook up your system again.

Hi. Thanks for the video. Is not necessary to put a layer of pea gravel first? Thanks in advance.

For upflow systems gravel is not needed. If you have a downflow system (backwashing head with drain) you would need gravel to help prevent channeling.
