Here is one for all you buffs out there. Watch from 10:54 Does the camera lens see different to a carp as far as colour is concerned? This is five meters down and i can see yellow, red, blue....
i stop fishing for carp at the end of november as i have always found since i started in 1980 that they do this and switch off only waking up when the temp climes cheers

They have dived in the summer The water temp down there is still cold and very murky with only a few inches visibility. The carp won't let them get near but sometimes follow from a distance. Not a lot of weed at 28 feet mate :-) Cheers
Absolutely astonishing! How the hell would you work out were to fish!? Getting your line to lay flat with the bottom would be next to impossible,and those fish well freaked out at first I think they thought "if I just sit still they won't see me" and then they went off like torpedoes!! Are you tempted to get a suit on and go for a dive now Steve?
Those Carp are sure tough , living in such a desolate looking place . God knows what the PH is in a chalk marl pit , ever thought of ckecking that out Steve .
its typical for my area (cambs) the water PH is 7+ and very alkaline (hard) and full of minerals! Wanna see what it does to your washing machine :P cheers

Steve that silt blanket over the second carp must of been warm,because the carp was a bit reluctant to move.
