- Manchester United have won their first six games under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s management. Let’s delve into the tactics that have kickstarted the refinement of Man Utd.

Solskjaer’s management has completely rectified the Man United squad especially the likes of Paul Pogba, Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial. The Champions League winner has brought a new sense of love back to the Red Devils with pictures from training of all players smiling, laughing and joking around.
He has made local lads Jesse Lingard and Rashford a key element to how his side play, countering fast to catch their opponents off guard, with Pogba feeding through balls to the inform front three. Solskjaer has scrapped Jose Mourinho’s 4-3-3 that got United’s campaign off to a poor start and has brought in a 4-2-3-1 system that is clinical.
The baby-faced assassin has instantly gained the respect of everyone at the football club and has United fans singing “Ole’s at the wheel” wherever they go! Solskjaer is the first ever Manchester United manager to win his first six games, and one more successive Premier League win and he will match Jose Mourinho’s best run for consecutive wins in the PL with Man United.
The once United super-sub has taken former super-sub Marcus Rashford and has turned him into an established goalscorer under his management, with the Englishman scoring 4 goals in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s first six games, concreting his place as United’s number 9.

Brilliant video. It's amazing how much Rashford' s finishing is so much more clinical under Ole. Under Mourinho he went through a spell where he missed 11 one on ones in a row whilst banging them in for England. I wonder what Rashford goals: shots ratio is under Mourinho and Ole.
His shot conversion isn't that different surprisingly. His taken shots however have gone from one every 48 minutes to one every 20 which is just massive.
Mourinho would make milk sour... Ole gave the lad the confidence he needed, a much needed knowledge

Wow exceptional analysis, touches on things I myself had initially noticed. You should be given a show or something. Not to denigrate former players and pundits, but the analysis is usually rudimentary at best, shallow and filled with cliches. Great content mate, you have a new subscriber!

United have actually made 7 counter attacks just in their last two games, not all games since Solskjær took over.. They made the same amount of counter attacks just in the first half of the spurs game than they had in all 17 league games under Mourinho this season, three 🙈 the old United are back and Ole’s gonna get the job 😎

When you said about the inside right channel at 2:13 you could’ve called it a half space. Lots of research on line about it as a term used by coaches to show the different regions of the pitch

Fantastic analysis Dave, but lets not get ahead of ourselves and make Ole the permanent manager. Yes he has had a good run of results but on another day, the game against Spurs could have easily finished 3-1 or 4-1 to Spurs. Ole has definitely improved the team in every aspect but let us give him some more time and see what he is all about. For example, I would love to see how Ole sets up United against PSG. If he is able to bring United far into the UCL and finishing into the top 4 in the league then im sure the board of directors will consider making him the man for the job. GGMU.
Starting Martial was very smart move. I think he works much better with the high speed, quick passes with Rashford and Pogba. Moreso than Lukaku who's much better as a 2nd man.
I agree on Ole becomes Manchester United's manager next season rather than Poch. Poch is a good, but he needs to win trophies. Ole will give us good times even for England, he may produce more quality developing youth in the first team. Something I've long missing on United. Poch's doing it now, giving some effect on England during their 2018 World Cup preparations but still needs trophies.

Dave, you totally won that 3 in 3 out vs Adam. Anyway. I absolutely love what Ole is doing at United. Its similar to Sir Alex's tactics, but its completely different. Ole is a good manager. Only 6 games in, but what a run United are on! But now its not, "oh, spurs are the real test" or "wait till PSG and see". The next real test is the very next game. Can we keep Ole's train barrelling down the tracks?

One of the biggest differences from Solskjaer is unlike mourinho, van gaal or Moyes, he knows his best 11. He knows which formations are best suited to playing to the strengths within that team. If that’s not worthy enough of winning over this as a permanent job, United are at a huge loss. They have to keep ole, his and mikes decision making along with the respect they have in the dressing room is what’s rebuilding Uniteds fear factor

Another awesome video mate, am currently doing a united save or trying to on fifa, but not great when it comes to the tactics side like ive said before plus knowing what players to set up in a formation if that makes sense to make it strong, so with this video mate its helped me out massively with someone like you who knows the team inside and out, and how the team should be set up. And with the new dynamic tactics system in this years game i know i know its only game but honestly it helps with a video like this, you have also given me some ideas on what gameplans to go with, which before this video i had no idea what so ever to do with the team. So another awesome video dave thanks for helping us noobie tactic guys out ;)

All tactics have their weaknesses. Man Utd will lose eventually, but they are moving in the right direction in a surprisingly short amount of time. I really don't care if Man Utd does not make top 4 this season. Ole is building a solid foundation for the future.

Dave could you please try and use stats per 90 rather than per game. I know it is a lot more effort but it makes everything so much more comparable for the viewer, as well as for you for scouting
