People do not get sick from germs and diseases are not "catchable." Disease starts in the brain with a traumatic, unexpected and stressful event? The best example and most commonly referred to mass illness event was the Great Flu of 1918. It set the stage for the current dogma that the "flu" has a season....fall. The flu of 1918 began in the fall, but what else was of great significance that also occurred during the same time in 1918?? The German Chancellor officially announced the end of World War I. Two weeks following that announcement, millions and millions of people who were directly affected by the very first World War went into the healing phase. The healing phase of a Territorial Fear is Bronchitis and flu-like symptoms. The healing phase of being scared to death for yourself or someone you love is pneumonia and tuberculosis, and lung tumors. None of these symptoms will appear when someone is in the conflict stage. All of them appear when you go thru the healing phase and the conflict is resolved. So millions of people began with these very serious illnesses given the length of time the war lasted, and this was all before the invention of antibiotics in 1929 which would have helped most people. This was also a time of food rationing, so the proper amount of protein needed when a tumor begins to degrade wasn't available. More people died in Europe than the US because the war was fought over there. And from that very event, we are told all around the world to get our vaccinations to prevent something that is directly caused by the things happening only in our own lives such as the disappointment of the end of summer, the trauma of a child starting school for the first time who doesn't want to go, the stress of having a new school routine after leisure time all summer.....can you see the pattern here? If you cannot "catch" cancer, arthritis or diabetes from another person, then you cannot "catch" a cold or flu. There is no such thing that only SOME diseases are communicable, but not all. Everything is based on the Germ Theory that was never proven to be 100% accurate from the very beginning.
This feels like home, feels like I’m back at my grandparents sitting around the table just talking about everything and nothing. Need more podcast with y’all.
I may or may have not cried multiple times during this. Love papa J makes me miss my grandpa more and more. We need more people like LeAnne and Papa J.!!!
My eyeballs leaked this whole podcast. I wasn’t crying. Some sort of jealous joy cry. I’m not a jealous person, but I lost my dad so now I am jealous of people who CAN have these precious moments with their dad. Kudos to you for taking the opportunity ❤️
My dad died a few years ago at 71 and grew up in Georgia. He sounds like Papa J and even their mannerisms are similar. This podcast brought me so much joy! Thank you :)
Just got notified, I HAD to come right over to pay respects to the man himself! Thank you sir for coming on the podcast and sharing with us fans! Edit: Again thank you so much Sir for coming on the podcast. I hope that you do come back for another episode. Can tell how much you love engines by the nonchalant way you mentioned “that stinger header” lol. I love it personally. A little gear head myself. Makes my heart happy and I thoroughly enjoyed this episode as much or better than the bookclubs!
I have LOVED so many of your podcasts. This one is by far my absolute favorite. Probably because I was born and raised in south Louisiana by a 100% Cajun daddy (and mama). And Papa J reminds me so much of my daddy.
So grateful that Papa J agreed to be on!! It’s so great to finally see and hear the man who shaped you. He really is such a wonderful man. Please tell him thank you and that we can’t wait to see him on again! ;)
I must say I love every episode you put out, but this episode has been my favorite bar none. This was the sweetest, most captivating, heart warming conversation I have ever seen. Thank you so much to you and your daddy for sharing this with us.
Like you stated in the first part about your grandparents. I have my grandfather on voicemail. Also about your daddy. He seems to be a sweet gentle soul. Happy you’ll have this for the years to come. You should do this with your kids and Papa J!! That would be really neat to have.
This is so cool that you got your dad to do this. Thank you for sharing him with us. What an interesting guy and enjoy seeing the dynamic you both have. LeAnn, you are an incredibley interesting podcaster and I appreciate what you bring to us each week. Excellent!
You can soo tell you're from the south by the fact that at your age, you still call him your "Daddy". Believe me no judgement here, I'm from the Appalachian mountains in TN and am a 34 year old man and still refer to my dad as "daddy" when talking to other people. It's just something we do.
Listened to a lot of interviews in my 57 years, and I truly say this is in the top few. Watching people who truly love each other is always a joy to behold. It doesn't matter if it's husband/wife, friends, siblings, or a daughter and her daddy. And.........you've reached that lovely point that's so hard to describe, a father and daughter who've transcended all of that and become peers. Not sure if that's exactly the right word, I hope you catch my meaning. Just lovely to watch.
Loved this! My daddys been gone 25 years and he was a lot like your daddy. Wish I had done this with him. Their such a great generation. Wish there were more like them now.
My grandfather (or grandaddy since we're from NC) passed about a year ago and this podcast really made me smile because Papa J sounds just like him. Much love to your beautiful family.💓
Aww..he reminds me of my dad. Hes 74. We are not as close as this and I dont know much about him honestly. Hes kinda mysterious to me in a way. My parents are still married btw. I think hes the greatest man I know and the smartest.
Those faded jeans, the way he crosses his legs at the ankle and held it with one hand and fiddled with the edge of his long white socks, and the warmth between you two makes me so happy and miss my own dad. 💖👍 I kept his coffee cup (never heard of anyone using a bowl to cool down coffee 🧐🤔😂) Can't wait for your book!!
I can't like this enough, thanks for this. I think your dad is exactly what I pictured and more and how great that you have this video recorded. So nice to see the dynamic between the two of you.
Lovely set LeeAnn. great stories. such a great dad, I haven't missed my dad this bad since he passed, I could listen to your dad and his stories all night. I agree with you, Bert is THE luckiest sucker around.🤗😊💙
This is the best podcast of yours I have watched and I haven't watched a bad one yet. Your Father is a rare bird these days. Thanks for sharing with us. Phil
I listen to your podcast every week! I love it so so much! And I just had to comment on this one! My mom is from Arkansas, and you have a similar accent to her, and I love my mom! She’s awesome! But.... she’s not the most accepting person in the world, and there is a lot of bad things with her family that we don’t talk about. And the reason I say all this, is because listening to you two talk was so awesome for me!! I felt like part of your family! And you guys are so loving and accepting and amazing!! Thank you so much for sharing this! It was special to listen to!
Yes Leeann! We finally got to meet pops! I’m head over heels ❤ keep the great episodes coming, they get me through my work day 😊 PS I’m from Buffalo and love the bills hat that Bert has 🎉 #GoBills
I swear I thought Papa J was in a league with Bigfoot and the Loch Ness Monster. (talked about but never REALLY proven) this made my heart SO very happy. Would LOVE to see one with Papa J, LeeAnn, Georgia and Ila.
I do the coffee thing too! Ive done that for years. I get coffee on my way to work, i pour it intro my cold mug and by the time ive got myhc shit set up for the same its cool enough to drink! RAD!
Men like this don't go out of style, they just get more rare. Thank you both for this.

I think Leanne's southern accent got stronger in this one :)
I was going to say the same thing...around her dad or talking about her southern past, it SO came out!!
With her dad around, it’s probably like a positive feedback loop haha
That happens to us all from the south, when we get around our people the accent gets THICK. Lmso
This is so special. Thank you for sharing him with us. You’re lucky to have this recorded. 💕
I saw this pop up and was so excited to see the guest!!! I know he didn’t want to do it for the longest time so this is a real treat!!!
I was excited to watch this one too

OMG Papa J is an awesoem human being!
My daddy was a lot like yours. Always happy, easy going and everyone loved him. Hold on to these precious memories LeeAnn.
Your relationship with your Daddy reminds me of the relationship I have with mine. Great fathers are such a blessing.
ONE OF MY FAVORITE EPISODES!!! I would love to see Georgia, Ila and Bert do a podcast with him.
Seeing them interacting is so sweet.
My eyeballs leaked this whole podcast. I wasn’t crying. Some sort of jealous joy cry. I’m not a jealous person, but I lost my dad so now I am jealous of people who CAN have these precious moments with their dad. Kudos to you for taking the opportunity ❤️

It was so fun to live vicariously through you two going down memory lane the way people used to connect the way people were not disconnected

What a great daddy. Explains a lot Leann.
I would love a movie about Leanne’s family and her time growing up in Georgia.
I have LOVED so many of your podcasts. This one is by far my absolute favorite. Probably because I was born and raised in south Louisiana by a 100% Cajun daddy (and mama). And Papa J reminds me so much of my daddy.
This was FANTASTIC. Papa J is a legend, and I wish I was fortunate enough to have this kind of talk with my father. Beautifully done, Mommy ❤️❤️❤️
So grateful that Papa J agreed to be on!! It’s so great to finally see and hear the man who shaped you. He really is such a wonderful man. Please tell him thank you and that we can’t wait to see him on again! ;)

This is beautiful xx your accent thickens talking to him, it's so sweet
Haskell and Willa Mae were two of the best folks ever! Not to mention Jimmy will probably be famous after this podcast! Thank you for sharing!
I love this so much. I lost my father in July and he was my Hero. Papa J says "that's right" at one point and you say that all the time.
This is so cool that you got your dad to do this. Thank you for sharing him with us. What an interesting guy and enjoy seeing the dynamic you both have. LeAnn, you are an incredibley interesting podcaster and I appreciate what you bring to us each week. Excellent!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!! This is the best of Leanne! Can't express how much I loved this episode.

I'm 61 from NJ and my family all still refers to our father as daddy. :)
You know I hit this so fast I got dizzy, I thought this would never happen and I'm so glad it did ❤

That snort reminds me so much of my grandpa. That's so funny. Great podcast.
I came to the comments to see if anyone mentioned it. I'm going to leave my comment at that.
YESSS!!!!!! I squealed!! I'm so excited for this one, I thought it would never come. 💗
