  • Market in Angeles City, Philippines - Chicken, Fish, Vegetables. A Sunday morning walk through the market.
To all those who asked about the location of this market: This video was shot in Pampang Market in Angeles City. It's out somewhere near the Angeles City Water District Office. It's a great fresh foods market with what seems to be daily deliveries from farms including from Baguio. I am told that they no longer have a fresh fish market like this, but I am not 100% sure of that.
As for the comments about the narration woman who was nice enough to allow her personal experiences to be posted here: I'm not sure why a couple of people have chosen to make negative remarks. I guess there's all types of people out there, hidden withing the depths of the Internet - many of whom have not been taught the age old wisdom of Mahatma Gandhi, which says, “Speak only if it improves upon the silence.” With that being said, the narrator is a fine Filipino woman who has spent many years in the United States and so has developed her own beautiful way of speaking that is unique to her. In my opinion and in the opinion of her many friends everything about her is lovely, including the way she speaks. If anyone else here has something negative to say about her, please post your hate somewhere else.

Many people shop very early to get the freshest fish and meat. My wife leaves for town at 5:00 or 6:00 am. When I go myself I rarely buy anything but veggies after 8:00-9:00am. Myra cooks the heck out of everything and uses a lot of vinegar and salt for preservation.

  • @fernandodelacruz3971

The fish could've stayed fresh if they were soaked in ice not with their own blood. No offense, I grew up in Angeles City but Tsukiji fish market in Tokyo, Japan kept their fish fresh with that simple technique. We were just in Tsukiji two weeks ago. It has less fishy smell than what we normally have in PI. No wonder why Japanese can eat their fish raw, they are always fresh. It's not a crime to copy excellent food preservation.

ang daming Filipino na nakarating lang ng ibang bansa kung magsalita e ang aarte, feeling "posh".
well it is not. you all sound ridiculous and trying hard!!!
speak the american, english or whatever foreign language the natural way. you are embarrassing the rest of our race.

Not sure if your comment is directed at the young lady taking the video. But this Filipino perception of when someone is "trying hard" to speak a language sounds like they're trying to be 'posh', or sounds snobbish or 'mayabang' is stupid. Totally stupid attitude. Maybe this vlogger, knowing that she will be posting on RUclips, feels that she should have some descriptions in English. Why does your pride have to depend on how others carry themselves? The only one embarrasses you is YOU.

I just came across this awesome video of a fish market in Palawan and want to share it here because it's so impressive. Looks like Pampanga, being land-locked and at least 50 KM from the ocean doesn't get the same variety of fish and seafood as Palawan. Interesting to see the differences. Check it out here: ruclips.net/video/53GaIPW8oO0/видео.html

As for the comments about the woman who was nice enough to allow her personal experiences to be posted here: I'm not sure why a few have chosen to make negative remarks. I guess there's all types of people out there - many of whom have not been taught the age old wisdom which says, “Speak only if it improves upon the silence.” ― Mahatma Gandhi. With that being said, she is a fine Filipino woman who spent many years in the United States and so has developed her own beautiful way of speaking that is unique to her.
