Accra is not planned in the true sense of the word. The British had a master plan for Accra that included building public squares, fountains etc that our first president Nkrumah threw away after our Independence Nairobi for example had a similar British masterplan for it that the authorities are still following up to today
They should make it de capital city since sunyani is even closer Ivory Coast..it will boost the place..cuz Accra is overcrowded even Tema..capital city should b to a less crowded minor city..like how Tanzania gave it Dodoma recently

Sunyani is actually a young town. It was planned out of a very small town in the 1950/60s by Kwame Nkrumah to be a new regional capital. Techiman another big town close to it was actually bigger then and may even still be slightly bigger than Sunyani today.

Satellite images indicate that Sunyani is larger than Techiman. I don't know why most people think otherwise. Sunyani is nicer, well organized than Techiman which has a vibrant and large market.
People should understand that development is not about tall buildings you see around. Those who are talking about it being underdeveloped should point to specifics for proper assessment.
This city should be popular just like Kumasi and Accra... It very beautiful city..
