    I did not know they could be so simple to propagate! Thanks for sharing this. I have a little one that seems to have multiple trunks. It looks much more bushy, I'm going to propagate it now and see if I can get one growing straight up, single trunk, like a tree! Very neat, I hit subscribe😊

      The only thing you can do now is prune it back. Now some times it might not work once it started to lose leaves on the bottom. It could be to late. Try to prune your china doll plants once and a while it encourages bushy growth. 💕

    Hi, I'm going to start reviving my plant after watching thanks, it used to be beautiful but after repotting it now only has 3 green leaves left on it . I checked inside and the root system is very weak and never actually outgrew the size of the original pot. So now i depotted it back into a pot big enough to fit the trunk in, there are so many stems with no leaves on, so I cut them off to the node. I am not sure If I should cut the larger stems from the trunk as they are bare now, you mentioned they should have leaves before you propagate but they have non, maybe it will still work but take longer?

    I have a china doll plant and before I went out of town it was about 2 feet tall and real bushy. I had someone looking after my plants but when I got back it had lost over 75 % of its foliage and it only has one stalk left. It's so top heavy that it cannot support its own weight anymore and requires a support steak. If I cut it like in your video do you think it'll survive? Or do you have any suggestions to bring it back to life?

A faint breeze of the fan is enough to make the leaves fall. Can you please help? The leaves on one of them is only towards the top when it used to be lush green. Do the leaves regenerate where the entire branch is gone? Please help me rescue it.

    • @GardeningwithSusieTLC
      @GardeningwithSusieTLC  2 года назад +2

      The most important thing to remember when growing a China doll plant is that they require lots of light and moisture and do not react well to frequent changes in their growing conditions. Leaf drop commonly occurs in China doll plants if their growing conditions are not right or change too quickly. Thanks for watching : )

    I have a china doll outside in a pot. It has gotten about 2’ tall, is pretty bushy, especially around the bottom where there are lots of new leaves. I really have no idea how to trim and where. Do I cut off bottom growth (and where) since it’s supposed to become like a tree? Or cut off height? I understand to cut leaves growing inward but not sure how far down. There are many offshoots from the main stem, should I cut some off? How big of a pot should it be in? The current one is 14”. I don’t know why it’s been so hard to find clear instructions on pruning this plant. Thanks for the video!

    • @GardeningwithSusieTLC
      @GardeningwithSusieTLC  2 года назад +1

      Hi, It depends on how far you want to go. If you want to trim the whole plant, cut back tall stems 1/2" above a leaf, It will produce new growth in time. Also you can repot if you see a lot of roots coming out the bottom of the pot only do this if necessary sometimes your plant may experience some shock. I hope this helps : )I have another video also on this plant:ruclips.net/video/-GN3K7RR1Xg/видео.html
