    Nice lessons. You deserve more subscribers. More strumming videos please.
    I like that you are not tapping your foot. I don't know if it just me. I don't find it cool when I see someone playing a guitar while tapping their foot.😀

      I like this comment. But to be honest, I have heard guitarists go as far as saying that foot-tapping is essential. Rythm is a weak point in my playing, so I am going to try to learn how to tap a foot. I should probably add a metronome to that process. I'll add 5min. of foot-tapping+metronome and 10min. of foot-tap+metronome+strum patterns to my schedule.

    Hey Brad, do you have some examples of easy-to-learn songs that use compound strum patterns, perhaps a couple from your list of 11?

      ruclips.net/video/Nqy5esZjBik/видео.html this song by Counting Crows combines Strum pattern 11 & a variation of strum pattern 6.

      ruclips.net/video/nB32DqIIpx0/видео.html also this Matchbox 20 song has compound strum patterns, too.

    Brad, can you tell me what the 'P' and the parentheses mean in your strum pattern tabs?

    • @SimpleGuitarDotCom
      @SimpleGuitarDotCom  2 года назад

      Hey David! Looks like the P is a mistake. Somehow those got labled as being played with your strumming hand thumb. That's what it would mean for something with fingerpicking. The parentheses mean that your hand is going to move down on that beat but not to hit the strings since that note is tied. However, if you don't move your hand down, you'll mess up the next strum.

      @@SimpleGuitarDotCom thanks for the update. I suspected that the parentheses meant to hold over the previous beat, but I hadn't thought of it in terms of keeping the strumming hand moving. makes sense. thanks!

We must repent of our sins and Have Belief On Yahusha The Messiah. HE Died and Rose three days later so that we can be forgiven of our sins!
