Legion Go: Testing Lossless Scaling at Max Resolution 1600P in 12 Games.

After testing lossless scaling for many hours, I noticed that it’s better to set the screen refresh rate at 144Hz than 60Hz. By doing this, I observed that the game runs smoother with less ghosting. Remember, frame capping is very important for lossless scaling; it works effectively when your framerate (FPS) is half or lower than half of your screen refresh rate.
When lossless scaling is active, it will double your FPS.
Lossless scaling only works in Windowed or Borderless mode.
Note: This software is not perfect; even though the game feels smooth, I also experience ghosting and input lag depending on the games.

Lossless scaling is the same as turning on smooth motion on in your TV settings. Such a waste.

The more I test it, the more interested I am in this lossless scaling app. It takes time to adjust settings for the best performance, with less ghosting and input lag. If you have a lot of games in your library, it’s worth testing out. But if you only play a few specific games, it’s of course a waste.

Doesn’t work for me either, works great on the Ally tho. Seems that they have the better software, if you don’t mind the screen, (which is perfect for mobile gaming to me) then it’s the way better product. Just seems to be more optimized.

Set in Game Window or Borderless Mode, when you enable Lossless Scaling, it will convert the game to Full Screen. If you set Full Screen mode, Lossless Scaling will not working.

It’s neither a scam nor 100% accurate. It’s hard to explain until you test it in person. The lossless scaling at 60FPS does feel smoother than native 30FPS, but at the same time, it doesn’t feel as good as native 60FPS. Ghosting and input lag still exist in lossless scaling, depending on the game. Some games are acceptable and enjoyable to a certain extent, but others, like GOW, Tekken 8, and WWE, become unplayable with active lossless scaling.

I recommend using MSI Afterburner and RivaTuner for accurate frame limiting. Avoid using Legion Space Frame Limiter, as it doesn’t work well; your FPS may exceed your target FPS.

With the new update, if your game can run at 48FPS with frame cap, then lossless will scale it to 144FPS.

I’m not sure if that will work accurate or not, but for MSI afterburner RivaTuner, it’s work 100% accurate. I don’t recommend using Legion Space frame limit for Lossless scaling.
