Ruim 5.500 mensen waren getuige van een spectaculaire show waar de zangeres gedurende 2,5 uur schitterde op de bühne. Tijdens dit concert werd zij bijgestaan door haar 10-koppige live band en collega-artiesten Edwin Evers, Lange Frans en Candy Dulfer. Ook zorgde komediant Jandino Asporaat als zijn alter ego Judeshka voor een hilarische surpriseact.
Glennis Grace weet met haar prachtige stem het publiek in ontroering te brengen en zo waren de reacties na afloop uitzinnig. Ook de pers was zeer lovend. Van 'Glennis Grace betovert HMH' (Spits) tot aan 'Glennis ontroert volle HMH' (NLTracks). Iedereen was het er over eens; dit was een concert waar je bij geweest moest zijn!

@@ninamo7969 I think your anger (?) is a bit misplaced. Nothing wrong with praising someone who can do a good performance. Glennis has been singing for over 30 years herself. I'm quite sure she put in a lot of effort in it and she's not filthy rich like all the singers she's covered, which does not even matter that much, because what does is she truly moves people, even the original singers themselves.

Many Glennis fans are constantly dissing other singers to uplift Glennis. Whitney is their most targeted singer, but also Mariah, Celine and other singers are frequently dissed.
I'm not questioning this performance by Glennis. But it is fair to say that compared to the singers I mentioned, Glennis hasn't done that much work. Whitney, Mariah, Celine, Xtina and many other singers have (had) vocal issues due to their extremely demanding careers. They often performed/did other work while they needed urgent rest.
I'm not saying Glennis has put little effort into her career, but Glennis has (had) much recuperating time in between performances/other work (which is good).
Fact: Glennis sang it live better than Xtina. Sorry, but Xtina do not do big notes live like that (you'll make it, you'll break it, don't be forsaken BECAUSE). Been looking for a video of Xtina hitting that studio version money notes but I never found one.

Just listened to Christine Aguilera's live Ziggodome performance in 2019 (she was 39yrs). Glennis is 38yrs in this performance. Personally I think this is so much better than Christine's live performance. Of course original studio release is of higher standard. Cannot help loving Glennis
Actually i don't know about that studio version...if you just take that vocal channel, forget about all the effects and instruments...i'm not so sure...Glenda's voice is so much better especially in those higher notes...But in live vocals, no one beats Glenda today. That's for sure.

Christina Aguilera absolutely belongs in that same level of class singers. Christina in her PRIME a.k.a back to basics tour was at the very same level of singing as these other amazing singers. It simply cannot be denied. She is and will be considered a legendary singer with these other amazing singers listed above whether you like it or not. There's a reason why she ranks higher than Mariah Carey and Celine Dion on the rolling stone's top 100 greatest singers of all time. It's because of the passion and the way she emotes and her special tone that put her in this category. When she is at her best she is the best.

Simon should have given her a recording contract, rather said she would be perfect for the Broadway production of The Showman. He had the power to push her career forward here but chose not to. Just my own opinion.

It's so easy to be a judge, if someone had never heard of Whitney or Christina and just listened to glennis, then you'd realise how pure and soulful her voice is, I don't think she is quite as good as Whitney, but man I'd still go and pay to see her in concert, a truly gifted singer and no doubt a future is definitely on the horizon.

Glennis has an entire award winning body of work in her native Dutch. She appeared on America's Got Talent at the invitation of Simon Cowell to add some excitement and help boost ratings. Glennis had no intention of winning.
The Dutch music scene is fresh with fantastic musicians, singer-songwriters like Anouk. While many perform in English, I am learning Dutch to better appreciate songs in Nederlands.
