the easiest way is to just put the entire cob in a bowl with a lid, and place it n the microwave, the kernels will pop off the husk, and land in the bowl, and you can just throw away the hull. this way, you only need to grab a few hulls when you want popcorn, letting the rest stay in storage, as it's easier to store corn cobs than it is to find bowl to hold a field worth of kernels
thank you for demonstrating exactly what I wanted to learn.
Ditto,
So helpful! Thanks for posting this!
you sir are a LEGEND!!
I leave my popcorn on a shelf up near the ceiling, its warm and dry up there. Cures Beautifully
Thanks!
thanks
😀😀
it can use in pop corn making
You can rub two corn together it won't pain your hands
Do you dry the corn🤔
Thanks. I wonder if we could do this with just corn from the fruit stand.
Unfortunately, no. Sweet corn and popcorn are not the same plant nor harvested at the same time in development. Soft corn will not pop.
@@ctuan13 Oh okay. Thank you! That's interesting.
What if my room temperature is 350°F

Thanks for the video! Very helpful. So just wondering after harvesting how long you waited before you did this?
I harvest once the plants are almost entirely brown, shuck the cobs and then let them cure in a cool, dry place for 3-4 weeks

Can we make popcorn with any corn we have at home ?
No. Popcorn is a specific type of corn. Corn that is harvested to be eaten while still premature like sweet corn, will not work.
You know what they say, you either eat popcorn or watch copporn.

That works fine if you just want to have dry microwaved popcorn, but for oil popping, removal from the cob is required.
