Even the other gods met other pitiful fates Izaliths hubris lead her to try an mess with a power much greater than her and became transformed into a monster. Nitos kingdom was in shambles, overrun by necromancers and left to rot in the deepest pit of his kingdom.
Even better is when “DARK SOULS” and the credits appear with the sombre ‘Nameless Song’ playing - especially if you pick the Age of Dark ending (well, it also really fits the solitude of guarding the First Flame alone in the Kiln).
Gough, the giant archer. He never takes off his armor, and one day a jealous soldier packed his helmet with tree resin while the giant slept. When he awoke, Gough believed he had gone blind. He still believes his sight is lost when he fires the arrow into Kalameet.
How do you not wake up to a guy putting tar on your helmet? Some of it had to have seeped through and burned his face, and I don’t care how deep a sleeper you are a burning sensation on your face is going to wake you up

The most badass thing about Knight Artorias is that the dude has one broken left hand which is his dominant sword hand. Meaning that he has been fighting you this whole time on his off hand. Can you imagine the fight be like if he used his dominant hand?
I feel like this isn't much more than a myth. Artorias simply broke his arm because his shield arm broke. There's no real lore to state otherwise except for some rogue DS2 stuff which feels sorta off in general. But it's fine.
Fun fact. Dark Souls 1 doesn't actually have any heal punish. It's just the boss reacting to you backing away from him. If you stay close after a combo, they tend to not do much. Edit: Nevermind, I was wrong about that. Thank you @Samura1313 in the comments below for correcting me :)

Boss can easily 1-2 shot, has a fast slash combo that is impossible to predict, has glitchy ai and jump attacks that glitch around any obstacle like ornstein does, and so much more. Shit hitboxes too. Bottom of C tier for me easily, only not bottom tier because of music and lore. Lets be real, if he wasn't the final boss and people were biased towards ds1, like imagine him being a normal mid game boss in ds2, people would hate him.
“I didnt hear no bell” - accurate definition of fighting artorias. I think the devs wanted to push the limits of a fair but hard fight and well, artorias and magnus were what we got. Impressive af for the time

When healing in souls games, you need to dodge the end of the string, and go for it immediately, the only one of these games with input reading is Elden Ring (And that's technically just an instant reaction to the very first frame of your animation. Which functions as input reading)
I've learned from, of all things, Fatalis, that a quadrapedal dragon with breath attacks is best countered by staying near its neck or beside its hindlegs. This allows you to be close enough to its breath attacks' source to dodge it.
