A beautiful and great sounding 1967 Gibson B-25-12 12 String Guitar with the original alligator style Soft Shell Case.
This beautiful Gibson guitar not only looks great but sounds great as well. Awesome voice on this guitar and it plays great as well. It has the lowest and best playing action in any 12 string I have played. Awesome neck angle. No sore fingers with this 12 string!!
This guitar is all original to include the Single Line Kluson Deluxe Tuners, Bridge, nut, and tailpiece. We are unsure of the pickguard. It looks like it was reglued and maybe slightly reshaped or it was replaced. No lifting of it at all. I would assume it was done when the sound hole crack was repaired.... See pic 12...The slight crack is properly glued and cleated as it should...No other cracks or breaks to report.
The guitar was dated to 1967. They built these guitars from 1963 thru 1969. Given the stamped serial number we dated it to 1967 rather than the earlier imprinted models. The guitar is X-braced and is a Concert Size Guitar. 14 ¼ inch across the lower bout. It is stamped below the serial number as a second. After all this time, a slight finish malady could never be discovered as the reason. The guitar has some dings and scratches. See pic 13... As it should. It was played! Great finish crazing that gives this vintage Gibson its mark of original finish! Beautiful reddish Sunburst that is so beautiful!
Mahogany Back and sides with a beautiful Spruce top. It has a 24 ¾ inch scale neck with the original 2 inch nut. I love that the previous owner did not install a strap button on the neck. Old school straps on this beauty please. Use a Headstock Strap!!
It didn't need much help from us... We cleaned it up and put a new set of Light guage Phosphor Bronze Strings on it.
The original Gibson Soft Shell Alligator Look case is as nice as the guitar...All the latches, hinges and original handle are still with it and operating properly.. See pics..Even the case accessory box is still with this guitar. What a great case for this historic Gibson Guitar!
The guitar is awesome but vintage and used so its sold as-is no returns..However, I have been hand picking my customers instruments for close to 20 years now and they all loved the guitars I found for them. This incredible Gibson will certainly not be an exception..
