If you want to call it dubbing and piss on E Nomine's efforts, knock yourself out. I find both English and German versions are great music. Just sit back, chill, and enjoy the music.

Its obvious that the Captain just wanted to die. I think he wanted to free himself from that immortal form of life, just like Alucard wished (Alucard wanted to be defeated/killed by a human). That's why he let Seras and Pip kill him. Anyone who saw their fight in the manga or OVA should have perceived that the Captain was so much stronger than her.
