Thank you for watching! Please be polite, respectful, no self-promotion, no links, NO POLITICS.
If you find value in my content, and want to show appreciation for independent media, there are a few different ways you can support Sewing Report LIVE...
    1) Like this video, subscribe to the channel, leave a comment!
    2) Participate in live streams every Sunday 6PM ET 🔴 donate via Super Chats
    3) Buy fabric + sewing supplies directly from me here 🛍 sewingreport.etsy.com/
Due to the nature of the topics covered and discussion/criticism of companies + brands in the sewing industry, it is challenging to monetize this channel. Most influencer contracts require a non-disparagement clause, meaning you can't say anything negative or even remotely critical about the brand. This is a large reason why you don't see a lot of reporting on the sewing + crafts industry. Remaining as independent as possible allows me to maintain editorial + creative freedom.

This sounds cynical, but I don't really think JoAnns is interested in crafter satisfaction. Their goal is money in the pockets of their shareholders so they will make great efforts to get and sell cheap fad items in huge quantities and call it a day. Quality hasn't been a consideration for quite some time, though I did see a display of Liberty fabrics there and I nearly passed out from shock. (It only included a few micro prints in muted colors, but at least it was quality) This new re-branding kick just demonstrates to me their desire to make a quick buck with fad based "quickie" one time projects. I think they're going to keep JoAnns barely alive as long as they can give it fast infusions of random a few times a year. The crafts don't matter, the dividends do. Just my humble opinion -- age 72: 3yrs with a Belgian tailor: 7yrs costuming: currently quilting and embroidering.

In big box retail, Instructors aren't paid well usually. I have been to classes that are amazing and some were so bad. I have had better luck at small shop owners for classes.

I think the goal is to lure you in thinking most of the store is on sale. Then you shop and have no idea what the total is until you ring it all up. That crap doesn’t work when your shoppers go online. I can see the cart total too easily.

Dollar Tree is good when you are in a pinch. The quality isn’t the best
