I have an old mate who bought and restored one of these bulldozers. In 2004 he took the machine to the D-day anniversary commemorations. It was apparently used on the beaches in 1944.
How did the S boat end up in Worse condition after this Kevin guy got it? the 2009 pics show it in near mint Nic and Airborne Berets are not RED they are Maroon. MP's have Red Berets
In the early 1970,s when I was about 10 we found an old army dump inside a bridge arch in Canning Town, Our headmaster had it boarded up when we went to school wearing WW2 stuff lol, It was all uniforms and webbing but just a few bomber hats and boots, it was all used the sheepskin hats had white hand painted names. We couldn't afford a torch in them days so who knows what was in there?
No one knows how or why the transport plane Glen Miller was travelling was brought down but the best assumption is that it was hit by bombs from an allied aircraft either getting rid of a hang up or dumping it's load when it's mission was cancelled. what ever it was it was not [as some historian's think] as a result of it being intercepted & shot down by a german fighter because if it had there would be a record of the claim being submitted by the pilot & backed up by his wing man plus any german navy or army soldiers who saw it happen & the end result was it either verified or dismissed but in either case there would have been a record in the pilots unit war diary.
It's great watching them all scamming each other and putting stupid values on stuff. Now let me think, I might have Buddy Holly's Jeep knocking about somewhere. I'll take £60k for it 😁😁
@@burtlangoustine1 In case you're not getting it or are being dense my Dad was a WWII vet who fought against the Nazis and was shot by a 20 m/m type 38 anti aircraft cannon and survived it to live until he was 94 years old. It's almost identical to the one they're showing here. You're chances of survival of being struck by one of these rounds is less than a hundredth of a percent. I think you're taking what I said as a jest but it was not meant as a joking matter. The men on all sides who fought in that war had more guts than you will apparently ever understand or comprehend and most certainly will never possess.

The best way to show love to those who sacrificed for you is to show happiness. Not get tearful about it. Or angry. You think your Dad wants you to be like this to others? If you need respect for what your Dad did, then shame on you. I'm sure he is a great man (In his 90's now?) And War is a joke by the way.
Christ you can’t get anything for 30 pounds …… this Bruce pushes things a bit too far . Not cheap , makes 2500 pounds on the gun barrel . Lucky guy being married to that lady for 30 years
This is entertaining but it is so scripted it’s unreal. I think the producers need to go a little bit less on chance meetings (yeah sure) and stupid haggling that we know isn’t true(there is some movement on price but not the kind that this bloke tries to make it look) just concentrate on the history side? Bruce Crompton can become very annoying after so many minutes and I can’t stand him trying to give us all a history lesson on the second world war! I just like watching the history side please, and a little less boring Bruce!

That hus bloke reminds me of a Rockabilly from darn sarf, in the 80's-90's. Even sounds like him.
Dad got hit by a flack 38 during the second war in the Ruhr Pocket
That's cool. My dad got hit by a electricity bill during peacetime in the back pocket. Devastating wounds. 😁

Dead on. It's the Brit Pawn Stars. The LATW reenactments were hysterically fake.
I wouldn't sell anything to this guy!
Bruce is absolutely brilliant.
He does ham it up for the tv show, but he's a lovely bloke to talk to at the shows, they all are.
Hi, enjoy your videos and 😮didn’t realise your ex-reg. I was in 3 Para and went through the original factory as part of 537plt. KRs Graham
