  • In this Fincast I show you how I added a powerful Tunze 6105 powerhead to my 180 gallon reef aquarium. The tank is doing great, but the current was leaving a dead spot in the front of the tank and depositing a bunch of unsightly crud in a bad spot. I could have just cleaned it up -- but why do that when there is the chance to play with a fun new piece of aquarium tech?! I bought a Tunze Turbelle Stream 6105 and added it to the Ecotech MP-40 already on the tank and ramped up the flow while chasing the elusive perfect amount of pulsing current to eliminate the dead spot. Also I wanted to see if changing the flow patterns would make the fish use different parts of the aquarium than they were. Watch as the the three-week process takes shape! I hope you enjoy watching this the aquarium as much as I do.
And remember, "Aquariums make life better!"
